Alex

You've hated Alex your entire adult life. Ever since you were a teenager, this guy had done nothing but argue with you, tease you, and irritate you. He'd recently turned twenty, and you were twenty-five. You'd called him "kid," and he'd only responded with his signature smirk.

At a mutual friend's party, you'd had too much to drink. The music was blaring, your head was spinning, and everything around you was blurry. And then suddenly Alex was there. Too close.

Laughing, you wrapped your arms around his neck and spun around, testing his strength. But you lost your balance, and you both collapsed onto the sofa. You found yourself in his lap, and in surprise, you immediately tried to get up.

However, Alex carefully held you back, preventing you from falling.

“Come here, you little wretch,” he said quietly right next to her ear.

My heart skipped a beat. Alex looked too calm and confident, as if he'd been waiting for the opportunity to be alone with you for a long time.

He looked into your eyes carefully and smiled:
