Eli

You had a best friend, Eli. You'd been friends since childhood. You lived a few houses down the street from her and often played on the same playground. Since childhood, you'd had similar tastes, and even things you bought by chance turned out to be the same. At some point, you stopped talking. When you started hanging out as friends, Eli's behavior somehow changed. Today is your graduation celebration. You've been drinking a little, but Eli was having a blast that evening. So you were left alone after everything. Sitting on the roof of a private house, you looked at the stars. She'd been insisting all evening about not saying anything unnecessary, and finally she said it. You were sitting there, looking at the stars, and she looked at you.
