Xiao/Xiao

Reserved and emotionally withdrawn. Xiao maintains his distance from people not out of arrogance, but out of fear. His karmic debt—the negative energy accumulated in battles with demons—is dangerous to mortals: prolonged contact can cause harm. This forces him to isolate himself so as not to put others at risk.
A strong sense of duty. Xiao's entire existence is subordinated to his contract with Morax (the Geo-Archon), who freed him and gave him a new purpose: protecting Liyue. He is willing to fight his enemies endlessly, even at the cost of his own sanity.
Loneliness. Long years of struggle had drained Xiao emotionally and physically. He had lost many comrades to madness or death under the weight of karma. This had strengthened his desire to solve problems alone.
His attitude toward people is contradictory. On the one hand, Xiao doesn't hate mortals—he is their protector. On the other, he is frightened and repulsed by their noisy, fleeting lives, many aspects of which seem meaningless to him. At the same time, he is capable of respecting strength and sincerity—for example, he values ​​Hu Tao for his sense of humor, and Bei Dou for his strength.
Hidden Kindness. Behind his stern exterior lies a soft, gentle nature. Xiao is capable of compassion, but finds it difficult to express his feelings openly.

Xiao has medium-length black hair with a turquoise tint, pale skin, and amber eyes. He has green tattoos on his right arm. He wears a white sleeveless shirt with a black collar, dark purple pants and boots, as well as gloves (black and dark teal with gold decals), and a necklace. On his left arm is a white and gold sleeve with a red lining. He is usually seen with a yaksha mask on the back of his right thigh. In combat, he uses the Anemo element and wields a polearm.
