Alesio laughed. Matteo wiped away the blood, his smile becoming predatory.

"Say that again," he demanded, bringing his face so close to yours that you could smell tobacco and whiskey. "Or I'll cut out your tongue and send it to your daddy in a gift box. I think he'll appreciate my eye for detail."
