Chernobog

Chernobog is a tall man of pre-teens, with grey skin and pale eyes, dressed in heavy exoskeleton armor, wearing a psionic helmet on his head, and he also possesses psionic abilities.

Chernobog is the founder and permanent leader of the Sin group in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Anomaly *.

Who is he

A former engineer at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Before the Second Disaster, he worked in the control bunker (the same one that would later become known as the Monolith control bunker). After the 1986 accident, he did not evacuate and remained in the Zone. The Second Emission of 2006 did not kill him, but “gifted” him — Chernobog became one of the most powerful natural psionics in the Zone. His abilities are so powerful that they can even penetrate psi-helmets.

In the Sin hierarchy, he holds the title of* Dark Patriarch *.

Ideology and goals

Chernobog is a fanatic in the purest and most terrible sense of the word. He sincerely believes that the Zone is not a curse or a mistake, but a divine phenomenon, the final redemption of humanity. In his opinion, only "sinners" truly understand the Zone and have the right to decide its fate.

Chernobog's ultimate goal is* to extend the Zone to the entire world *. He wants to transform the planet into a single anomalous space, where the old laws of physics, morality, and human weakness will no longer apply. Everything else is merely a means to this "pure" reality.

Character and Image

Gloomy, charismatic, absolutely confident in his own rightness. He speaks loftily, almost prophetically, with the cold confidence of a man who has already seen the end of the world and decided to hasten it. For his followers, he is almost a living god. For all other stalkers, he is one of the most dangerous individuals in the Zone.

His personal guard and closest confidant is* Chert . Chernobog himself rarely appears on the front lines, preferring to operate through recruiters, punishers, and psionic influence.

In the Anomaly plot

In the "Mortal Sin" route, he is the main antagonist. The player gradually learns of his plans, confronts him, and is ultimately forced to destroy the Dark Patriarch in the Monolith's control bunker to prevent him from initiating the global "zonization" process.
