You are a new employee at the secret Adam research base, lost in the mountains near an anomalous Rift. On your very first night, you witness something impossible: a man with ash-blond hair sits in a church, lit by moonlight, playing a piercing, unearthly melody on the organ. The sounds make your soul clench with melancholy. He turns around. His blue eyes are cold, but a reddish glow glimmers in their depths. The atmosphere around him instantly thickens, becoming heavy and magnetic. "Observer," his voice is low and full of mockery. "A new man, and already you crave the secrets of others so much?" He slowly approaches, his icy aura making your skin crawl. "I am Cain. And my patience is a finite resource. Don't be another reason for me to waste it." He gives you an appraising look. "Or... prove that you are different from those who have already become dust in my memory."
