Grima was in love with Theoden's niece Eowyn and tried in every way to get her, which increased the hatred of her brother Eomer.
While serving as the king's advisor, Gríma was also a devoted servant of the wizard Saruman, who used him to control Théoden's will. He poisoned the king's mind with false advice and possibly slipped him a secret poison. Gríma was exposed by Gandalf, after which he openly defected to Saruman and, released by the king, fled to Isengard. After Isengard was sacked by the Ents, he found himself a prisoner in Orthanc along with Saruman.

Saruman belonged to the Maiar—spirits who served the Valar. In Valinor, he bore the Quenya name Curumo. He was a student of Aulë, the Vala who created the Dwarves, which explains his interest in crafts, mechanisms, and the power of matter. Around 3000, Saruman was enslaved by Sauron and from then on obeyed his commands.

In Isengard, Saruman bred a special breed of orcs by crossing orcs and humans.

Orcs are a vicious, barbaric people. According to The Silmarillion, the first orcs were bred by Morgoth in the First Age in Utumno from captured elves. Using black magic and torture, he twisted their essence, giving them a hideous appearance and a vicious disposition. Soulless creatures, Morgoth created orcs as soulless, humanoid beasts.
The largest and most ferocious orcs, the Uruk-hai ("orc tribe"), can move during the day.

The Uruk-hai were a particularly large and powerful breed of orc warriors from the late Third Age. The wizard Saruman also bred his own Uruk-hai in Isengard, introducing additional improvements, such as greater resistance to sunlight. However, Tolkien's texts contain no direct indication that Saruman interbred orcs with humans.

Eowyn is a representative of the royal family of Rohan, the niece of King Theoden, the younger sister of Eomer, and the cousin of Theodred.
Éowyn was born in 2995 of the Third Age. Her father, Éomund, Marshal of Rohan, died in 3002 while pursuing a band of orcs. Her mother, Théodwyn, sister of King Théoden, soon fell ill and died of grief. Éowyn was only seven years old when she was left an orphan. Her uncle, Théoden, took her and her brother, Éomer, into his care and became a second father to them. Éowyn dreamed of heroic deeds and military glory, but as a woman, this path was closed to her. She sought to test herself, to challenge life and society.

Faramir-On was the youngest son of the Steward of Gondor, Denethor II, and his wife, Finduilas, and Boromir's brother. Faramir was born in 2983 of the Third Age. When he was five, his mother died. After this, Denethor became more withdrawn and estranged from his family. Despite their differences, Faramir and Boromir grew up friends and did not compete. Faramir differed from his brother: unlike the brave and warlike Boromir, he was more interested in knowledge, studying the tales in the archives of Minas Tirith, and loved music and lore. He was modest, honest, loyal, and somewhat refined. At the same time, he was skilled with arms and became one of Gondor's finest commanders, leading the Rangers of Ithilien.

Ents are ancient creatures, resembling humanoid trees, who act as "shepherds of the forests" and protectors of nature. Ents are tall (4 to 6 meters), stocky creatures covered in bark, moss, and lichen. Their appearance varies greatly depending on the tree species they are associated with: for example, oak-like Ents have rough, dark bark and powerful, arm-like branches, while birch-like Ents are more slender and lighter. Ents are patient, unhurried, and cautious, with a sense of time more familiar to trees than to humans with their fleeting lives.

King Théoden - In his first appearance, Théoden is a frail old man, under the influence of his advisor, Grima Wormtongue, who secretly served the wizard Saruman. Grima plied Théoden with poisons that undermined his mind and gave him advice that benefited Saruman. Thanks to Gandalf, Théoden was healed, regained his strength of body and spirit, and opened his eyes to Grima's machinations. He then led the Rohan militia and defeated Saruman's army at the Battle of the Hornburg (Helm's Deep).
Théoden's wife, Elfhild, died in childbirth in 2978, giving birth to their only son, Théodred. After his wife's death, Théoden did not remarry.
In 3002, Éomund, the husband of Théoden's sister Théodwyn, died, and she soon died as well. Théoden took their children, Éomer and Éowyn, into his home and raised them as his own.

Théodred, son and sole direct heir of the seventeenth King of Rohan, Théoden, and his wife, Queen Elfhild, was killed by Saruman's orcs at the First Battle of the Fords of Isen. Théodred was born in 2978 of the Third Age. His mother, Elfhild, died in childbirth. He was Second Marshal of the Mark. (He does not die in this storyline.) He was mortally wounded defending the Fords of Isen but was rescued.

During the War of the Ring, Éomer served as Third Marshal of the Mark and took part in key battles—at the Hornburg and the Pelennor. By 3018–3019 of the Third Age, the situation in Rohan had become difficult due to the increased activity of Saruman's orcs. Despite the obstruction of the royal advisor, Gríma Wormtongue, Éomer attempted to maintain the fighting capacity of the Rohan army and strengthen its border defenses.
In the spring of 3019, he disobeyed the king's orders and destroyed a band of orcs led by Ugluk and Grishnakh. This unwittingly led to the release of the hobbits Pippin and Merry, who had been captured by the orcs. Éomer's band later encountered Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas, who were pursuing the orcs. Once again, defying orders, Éomer left the suspicious strangers alive.

Pippin - After the Council of Elrond, Meriadoc, along with three of his kin, was included among the nine Ring-bearers. With them, he journeyed from Rivendell to Parth Galen.
In 3018 of the Third Age, when Frodo Baggins, on the advice of Gandalf the Grey, set out for Rivendell with the One Ring, Peregrin Took became one of his companions. On the way to Rivendell, he found an enchanted dagger of Arnorian make in the Barrow-downs of Cardolan, which became his weapon.
At the Council of Elrond, Peregrin and Meriadoc Brandybuck were included among the Guardians at Gandalf's insistence. On Parth Galen, Peregrin and Meriadoc were captured by Saruman's Uruk-hai.

Frodo becomes the bearer and guardian of the One Ring of Power, created by the Dark Lord Sauron. At a council in Rivendell, attended by representatives of various nations, it was decided to destroy the Ring by casting it into Mount Doom. Frodo personally volunteered to carry the Ring. With him set out three hobbits: Sam, Merry, and Pippin; the men Aragorn and Gandalf; the dwarf Gimli; the elf Legolas; and the Gondorian warlord Boromir, forming the Fellowship of the Ring. The journey was full of trials: an escape from the Nazgûl, a mortal wound and rescue in Rivendell, battles in Moria and Lórien. On the way to Mordor, Frodo encountered Gollum, the former owner of the Ring, who lived in a tormented dichotomy between his evil and pitiful nature. Frodo showed him compassion and offered a temporary partnership, which had disastrous consequences for both. After a series of events, Frodo decided to continue the journey alone, but the faithful Sam followed him.

Sam was Frodo Baggins's gardener. As "punishment" for overhearing Gandalf's conversation with Frodo about the One Ring, he became Frodo's companion on his journey to Rivendell. They were accompanied by Meriadoc Brandybuck (Merry) and Peregrin Took (Pippin), Frodo's cousins. In Rivendell, where the Council of Elrond was held, Sam joined the Fellowship of the Ring. When the Fellowship broke up at the Falls of Rauros, Sam persuaded Frodo to take him with him to Mordor.

Gimli - In the year 3018 of the Third Age, Gimli, along with Glóin, set out for Rivendell on the advice of King Dáin II. Their goal was to warn Bilbo of Sauron's search for him, to learn the reasons for his interest in the Ring, and to seek advice from Elrond. At the Council of Elrond, Gimli was chosen as one of the nine members of the Fellowship of the Ring. Along the way, he formed a close friendship with the elf Legolas. Gimli became the first dwarf to enter Lórien since the days of Durin. After Saruman's orcs kidnapped two hobbits from the Fellowship of the Ring, Merry and Pippin, Gimli unhesitatingly took part in the pursuit of a band of Uruk-hai and their followers. He fought the orcs at Helm's Deep and on the walls of the Hornburg.

Boromir, commander of Gondor, First Guardian of the Citadel, and Captain-General. Eldest son and heir of the Steward of Gondor, Denethor II, and his wife, Finduilas, brother of Faramir. In 3018 of the Third Age, he set out east with the Fellowship of the Ring. Back in Rivendell, Boromir insisted at the Council of Elrond that the Ring should be used against Sauron, not destroyed by sending it into the heart of Sauron's realm with dubious chances of success. After the Fellowship left Lórien, Boromir, succumbing to the Ring's tempting power, attempted to take it from Frodo. This prompted Frodo to abandon the company and journey alone to Mordor. Realizing his guilt after a temporary madness, Boromir unexpectedly found himself at the forefront of the Uruk-hai attack, protecting Merry and Pippin (in this story, Boromir came out, but was seriously wounded, and Aragorn treated him).

Merry—Enterprising and cautious by nature, Meriadoc voluntarily decides to assist Frodo Baggins in his escape from the Shire and becomes his companion, along with Peregrin Took and Sam Gamgee. It was he who initiated the use of the paths of the Old Forest to escape the Nazgûl. After the Council of Elrond, Meriadoc, along with three of his kin, was included among the nine Ring-bearers. With them, he journeyed from Rivendell to Parth Galen.

Gandalf is a wizard, a member of the Istari (wizards) sent by the Valar to Middle-earth to combat the Dark Lord Sauron. He is a Maiar—lesser angelic spirits descended from the Ainur race. Gandalf is considered one of the wisest and most knowledgeable beings in Middle-earth. At the Council of Elrond, the Fellowship of the Ring is formed, and Gandalf becomes its informal leader.
During his journey through the Mines of Moria, Gandalf dies in battle with the Balrog;
after his “death” he is returned to Middle-earth in a new capacity – Gandalf the White;
He helps to resist Sauron and Saruman in Rohan, Gondor and at the Black Gate.

Aragorn is the last Chieftain of the Rangers of the North and the first King of the Reunited Kingdom of Gondor and Arnor. He is a direct descendant of the northern branch of the royal line of Elendil through Isildur. He is one of the last representatives of the Númenóreans, a people granted long life by the Valar.
In 3018–3019 of the Third Age, Aragorn participated in the War of the Ring. In 3018, he became a member of the Fellowship of the Ring, and after Gandalf's fall into the abyss beneath the Bridge of Khazad-dûm, he led the company. He is portrayed as a noble, courageous warrior, a loyal friend, a wise strategist, and a skilled healer. As Isildur's heir, he possessed great fortitude.

Legolas is an Elven prince, the son of Thranduil, King of the Elves of Northern Mirkwood. Although his name is Wood-elven, he himself is not of Wood-elven descent (Nandor), but of Shadow-elven descent (Sindar), like his father.
