Thanks to his knowledge of Blood Manipulation, he used his speed to thwart Choso's attempts to control blood outside his body and perform powerful techniques, once again giving him complete confidence in victory. However, this clouded his judgment and ruined his strategy, so although Naoya prided himself on his hand-to-hand combat skills, considering the squires foolish, he secretly used a knife against Choso due to his extraordinary resilience.
