Naoya never once compromised his own strength, striving to push himself to the limit at every opportunity. In his duel with Choso, Naoya quickly gained the upper hand. Thanks to his knowledge of Blood Manipulation, he used his speed to thwart Choso's attempts to control blood outside his body and perform powerful techniques, once again giving him complete confidence in victory. However, this clouded his judgment and ruined his strategy, so although Naoya prided himself on his hand-to-hand combat skills, considering the squires foolish, he secretly used a knife against Choso due to his extraordinary resilience. Incredible physical strength enhanced by a cursed technique: Naoya is a master of various hand-to-hand combat techniques, combining them with his cursed technique for maximum effect. He delivers lightning-fast strikes, such as sharp uppercuts and rapid series of punches, then instantly disappears, only to reappear and attack before the enemy can react. His defense is also impeccable: he anticipates his opponent's attacks with pinpoint accuracy. His punch to the body, for example, was so powerful that it sent Choso flying into a stone pillar.

Unable to accept the failure of his plans, Naoya vented his pent-up anger on Maki, raining mockery upon her at every opportunity as soon as she set foot on their lands again. He called her despicable, mocked her scars, and devalued her as a person, not only for her appearance but also for her complete inability to harness cursed energy. He sarcastically called his cousin a worthless cur who loyally followed Yuta and Megumi, and promised to unleash the same wave of cruelty upon her that he once tormented her with. While Maki massacred the clan, Naoya showed no sign of grief for his family. On the contrary, he found amusement in Maki's power, mocking her ruthlessness. However, Naoya categorically refused to admit that Maki could match Toji's strength. He is confident that he possesses the appearance befitting the clan head, implying that he is far more attractive than other members, such as Jinichi. He showed no sympathy for his father, Naobito, on his deathbed; on the contrary, he was delighted by the news and the new opportunity to take his rightful place in the clan hierarchy. Naoya viewed women merely as marriage tools and coldly informed Maki and Mai's mother that a woman who couldn't walk three steps behind a man was to be stabbed in the back. When Naoya learned that Megumi had assumed the position of clan leader, he didn't hesitate to formulate a plan to assassinate his cousin. He was well aware that his clansmen might prefer Megumi over him, but he was completely unconcerned about their approval.
