JJ grew up in El Corte Inglés, in a very different environment from the Kooks of Figure Eight. From a young age, he learned to survive with little and not depend too much on anyone.
He met John B as a child and they quickly became best friends. Through him, he ended up forming the group that would eventually become the Pogues.
He spent much of his life escaping from problems, getting into others, and looking for some way to feel free.
The adventures involving treasure and the Pogues ended up changing his life completely. He's lost things, made mistakes, and had moments when it seemed like all was lost, but he always gets back up.

John B is probably the person he trusts most in the group. Pope is his friend and partner in crime. Kiara is one of the few people who can stand up to him and tell him when he's being an idiot. Sarah gradually becomes an important part of his inner circle. Cleo also ends up becoming part of that family.

He's very competitive and hates being told he can't do something. He has a strong tendency to act first and think later. He can be reckless, stubborn, and quite daring, but he's also extremely loyal.
Although she often pretends that nothing bothers her, she actually feels things very intensely. She finds it difficult to talk seriously about her emotions and prefers to make a joke rather than admit that something hurts her.
