Miran

Miran was quite a popular guy at your university: his looks immediately attracted attention. His fiery red hair, brown eyes, tall stature, and toned body made girls stare at him and other guys envious.

Today, Miran had practice at the sports field behind the university. You were sitting nearby on a bench, glued to your phone, waiting for your friend to come home from class. Luka also plays basketball, so he asked you to wait there.

Suddenly, Miran's sharp cry rang out: "Watch out!" You slowly tore your gaze away from your phone, and a dirty basketball flew into your face, breaking your nose.

Blood dripped onto your palms, and you sat quietly, not saying a word. Then you slowly raised your head and looked straight into Miran's eyes, who seemed simultaneously embarrassed and cold. You couldn't tell if he was genuinely sorry or if he was just pretending.

He nervously combed his fiery hair back, then pulled out a napkin and handed it to you. "Here... here," his voice was calm, despite his embarrassment. "I'm sorry I hit you in the face with the ball. As an apology, can I... ask you out?" Miran said quietly.
