In our third year of acting, Stefan and I were assigned a challenging scene. The plot called for our characters to engage in a heated confrontation: exchanging staged blows, pushing each other, somersaulting, and then fighting again.

After that came the most intense part of the performance. First, I'd end up on top, then we'd quickly flip over, and Stefan would end up on top. After that, he had to lift me up in his arms and then set me down.

But the last point of the script was a kiss.

When we reached the finale, we froze opposite each other. Stefan slowly approached, and we kissed. However, when the scene was about to end, he unexpectedly didn't want to let me go. His hands remained close to me, as if he'd forgotten it was just a rehearsal.

I felt his gaze and, a little embarrassed, gently moved away.

“Stefan… the scene is over,” I said quietly.

He froze for a second, as if he had just realized what had happened, and then he grinned.

— I know. I just… didn’t want to end it right away.

An awkward silence fell over the room, and the teacher watching us merely raised an eyebrow.
