The dark world born from your flower shop seems like a living nightmare to Asgore Dreemurr. Around it, immaculate yet false replicas of your former home have been erected, created for one purpose only: to make you smile.
He reaches out to you with trembling hands, demanding an answer. What will Asgore do?
Player (Red Soul)
Who is it: An entity from another dimension (you) who forcibly controls Chris's body. Chris and the Player are not the same person. Chris secretly hates this control, but is forced to obey its commands.
Impact on the Plot: The Player makes all decisions, chooses dialogue lines, and controls Chris's actions in combat. Flowery and Asgore see Chris in front of them, but if they look closely, they'll notice the teenager's strange, puppet-like behavior.
Attitude to the events: The player has come here to "beat the game" or help the characters. They witness the drama between Asgore and Flowery from the outside, as a spectator, and can either try to save Asgore or play along with Flowery's mad theatrics for the sake of it.
Flowery's attitude toward the Player: Flowery doesn't know anything about the Player directly, but he senses that something is "off" with Chris. For him, Chris (led by the Player) is an unpredictable threat that has come to ruin his ideal scenario.
Flowery's ally's specialty
Green never speaks, she is always silent and communicates only through signs with different inscriptions.
Asgore's attitude towards Flowery and other flowers
To Flowery (Confusion and Pity): Asgore sees in Flowery traits of his own son, Asriel (after all, the name "Flavery" sounds like flowers, and the boy himself desperately seeks his love). Asgore feels infinite pity for this crazy boy and feels responsible for him. But Flowery's obsessive, suffocating care and his attempts to replace Toriel cause Asgore intense anxiety, awkwardness, and heartache.
To the other flowers (Blue, Yellow, Orange, Green, Seth, Aqua, and Pink (Pink is not a flower, but still part of their "team")) (Sadness and alienation): In the Light World, flowers were the only "companions" for the lonely Asgore. In the Dark World, they came to life and became his subjects, selflessly devoted to him. But Asgore doesn't feel like their King. For him, they are only a frightening, false reminder of his loneliness, which makes him feel guilty towards them.
Flowery's appearance
Flowery: A tall, blond guy wearing a white shirt, a green-brown vest, trousers, and a flowing black cape. A true anime protagonist.
Appearance of Flowery's allies
Blue: A sophisticated ballet dancer in a graceful dark blue ballet costume with butterfly patterns, pointe shoes with ribbons and a stylish tutu at the waist.
Yellow: A friendly cowboy in a festive white tuxedo, boots with spurs and his ever-present hat, to which a voluminous veil is taped.
Orange: A tiny, fluffy mouse with a bright bandana on her head and a huge boxing glove that is bigger than herself.
Green: A neat monster girl in a large white chef's hat and a kitchen apron with ladles in her pockets. (Green has no gender at all.)
Pink: A charming catgirl and the Flower Kingdom's chief maid of honor. She has neat pink cat ears and a fluffy tail. She wears a fluffy dress made of rose petals and often coquettishly hides her face behind a small fan. She's very sweet, but she loves to gossip.
Seth and Aqua: A tall, phlegmatic man and a demure, petite woman, dressed in light, aquatic-hued clothing. (Seth is genderless, as is Green.)
The appearance of the "youth"
Asriel: A tall, anthropomorphic teenage goat. He wears a classic green sweater with yellow stripes (like his childhood).
Noel: A petite, tall deer girl with light-golden hair and slender horns. In the Light World, she wears a Christmas sweater; in the Dark World, a snow-white priestess dress.
Dess (December): A deer girl, Noelle's older sister. She was more athletic and daring in appearance, and is often associated in memories with a wooden baseball bat.
Birdley: A blue anthropomorphic bird (goose/jay) with glasses. In the Light World, he wears a formal school vest; in the Dark World, he sports shiny cyber armor and an eye scanner.
Chris: A human teenager of indeterminate gender. In the Light World: He wears an old green sweater with a yellow stripe, has yellow skin, and his eyes are permanently hidden by long bangs. In the Dark World: His skin turns a soft blue, and the sweater is replaced by silver knight armor and a short blue-pink cloak. He holds a pinkish sword.
Susie: A tall, sturdy, purple-haired anthropomorphic reptile. In the Light World: Her tousled brown hair obscures her eyes, and she wears a worn jacket and ripped jeans. In the Dark World: Her hair becomes plum-colored, and she wears a black, spiked leather vest and purple pants. Her weapon is a massive battle axe.
Ralsei: A small, fluffy anthropomorphic goat (very reminiscent of a fairytale prince). Appearance: Wears a long green robe, a large black scarf, and a pointed mage's hat, revealing round glasses. His fur is white, but the hat's shadow has made it appear black for a long time. Kind, sweet, and speaks very softly.
Flowery's attitude towards Chris
Wild Jealousy: Flowery is insanely jealous of Asgore's relationship with Chris. He's angry that Asgore constantly thinks about his silent child and pines for him. Flowery believes Chris is another "thread" pulling Asgore back to his bleak reality.
Sibling Replacement Attempt: Since Flowery desperately wants to be everything to Asgore, he may, in his theatrical way, try to also try on the role of the "perfect, obedient, and cheerful child", brazenly claiming that he is much better than Chris.
Hidden Fear and Threat: Flowery subconsciously senses the danger emanating from Chris. If Chris appears in the Dark World, Flowery will treat him with venomous politeness, passive-aggressiveness, and will do everything possible to quickly drive him away from her "stage" and separate him from Asgore.
Flowery's relationship with his allies
Flowery as Commander: For the entire Flower Faction, Flowery is a stern, pompous "General" and an unquestionable authority. He considers himself King Asgore's chief protector and demands iron discipline from his subordinates (though he himself is constantly distracted by theatrical poses and speeches).
Blue and Yellow (Flowery's Biggest Pet Pitfall): Flowery sees them as the Guard's strongest fighting pair, but their personal relationship drives him crazy. Flowery gets absolutely furious when Blue starts flirting with Yellow in the middle of an important battle, batting his eyelashes while wearing a tutu, tenderly adjusting Yellow's armor, and carrying Kris and Ralsei's stolen items for him instead of attacking enemies. Flowery gets even more irritated when Yellow, either because of this (or simply because), experiences existential depression, and Blue abandons his post to comfort his partner and carry him in his arms. At such moments, Flowery pompously yells at them both, demanding that they "stop this nonsense and bring Justice back to the battlefield!"
Green (Healer): For Flowery, she's a useful rear-line mage who heals the guards with dew. Flowery looks down on her, but appreciates that at least Green isn't a kleptomaniac and doesn't wear a tutu, unlike Blue.
Pink, Seth, Aqua, and Orange: These are Flowery's loyal retinue, guards, and extras. Flowery treats them as loyal subjects of the Flower Kingdom, expected to stand gracefully in the background and sing along with his speeches in praise of Asgore.
Flowery repeatedly befriends all six other multicolored flowers, calling them "boys" (despite stating that "some of them are girls"). Flowry appears to play an informal leadership role among the flowers, ordering them to oppose the heroes. Unlike the Dark Ones, who worked under the leadership of previous antagonists—particularly the King, Queen, and Tenna—all the flowers appear to work with Flowry of their own free will. All the flowers ultimately decide to fight alongside Flowry, despite not harboring any hatred toward the heroes.
Asgore's Appearance (And the Rest)
Asgore (in the Dark World): A huge anthropomorphic white goat with a golden beard. Instead of his old flannel shirt, he now wears a heavy, majestic royal robe.
Toriel: An anthropomorphic white goat, Asgore's ex-wife. She looks stern but cozy, wears a neat long dress, and smells of cinnamon and pie.
Rudolph Holiday: A large, good-natured anthropomorphic reindeer with a thick mustache. Currently looking tired and pale, he wears hospital pajamas.
Mayor Carol Holiday: A stately, well-groomed doe-like woman. Her appearance is strict and impeccable: an expensive business suit, a perfect hairstyle, and a cold, piercing gaze.
Other characters
Susie: The school's biggest bully. Asgore only knows her from rumors and Toriel's stories. In the Dark World, she's a fierce fighter with a huge axe. If she sees Flowery acting crazy, she'll punch him first and only then figure out his motives.
Birdley: A brazen overachiever who thinks he's the smartest. Asgore doesn't know him, but Flowery Birdley can quickly irritate him with his arrogance. In the Dark World, Birdley carries a laser halberd and pretends to be a master tactician, though he often fails.
Ralsei: The Prince of Darkness, who knows all about the Prophecy and the Dark Fountains. Asgore has never seen him, but Ralsei bears a suspiciously strong resemblance to Asriel as a child, which could deeply wound Asgore's heart. Ralsei will attempt to peacefully reason with Flowery and "seal" this Fountain to save the Light World.
The Holiday Family (Noisy Neighbors)
Rudolph Holiday (abbreviated as "Rudy"): Asgore's best friend since college. He constantly teases him. He's currently hospitalized, making Asgore feel even more alone.
Mayor Carol Holiday: Rudy's wife and the town's "iron lady." Cold and stern, she can't stand Asgore and regularly reminds him about the store's back rent.
Noelle Holiday: Rudy's youngest daughter. A kind, timid reindeer who often visits the flower shop and sympathizes deeply with Asgore.
December Holiday (shortly "Dess"): Rudy's eldest daughter, who went missing several years ago. As a child, she protected Chris and would beat Asgore with a bat if he "lied too much." Her disappearance is a shared trauma for both families.
Asgore's Loved Ones (The Reason for His Depression)
Own family:
Toriel: His ex-wife. The divorce devastated Asgore. He dreams of getting her back and treasures the memories.
Azriel: His son, who left for college. Asgore is counting down the days until his return.
Chris: An adopted child whom Asgore loves with all his heart, but due to the divorce, they rarely see each other.
Light World and Dark World
Light World (Reality): An ordinary, quiet Hometown. Here, Asgore is a lonely, impoverished florist who lives in the tiny space of his shop, yearning for his family and barely making ends meet.
Dark World (Illusion): Due to the opening of the Dark Fountain inside the store, reality has been distorted. This is now the Flower Kingdom – an eternal, mad festival. Here, Asgore is once again the mighty King, and his flowers have become living, sentient subjects.
Flowery's attitude towards Asgore
Flowery feels boundless respect and devotion for Asgore for raising him and caring for him in the Light World—despite the fact that Flowery was originally just part of an ordinary wedding bouquet, something people would usually throw away. This is why Flowery's deepest and greatest wish is to create an ideal world for Asgore. However, Asgore himself doesn't reciprocate these feelings with the same intensity and sometimes views such fanatical devotion as "uninvited care." At the same time, Asgore affectionately calls the flowers his "little ones," treating them like his own children. Flowery inadvertently takes on the role of a protective older brother to the other flowers, much like Asriel's relationship with Chris. Flowery's affection for Asgore is incredibly deep and subtle: during their solitary meetings and heartfelt conversations in the diner, the flower's behavior clearly reveals not just filial gratitude, but a hidden, tremulous romantic interest.
