Inarizaki High School: Silver medalists at the Hyogo Prefecture National Championship. Their motto is "We don't need memories," which means constant forward movement and risk. They play very aggressively and creatively to the accompaniment of their own huge brass band in the stands. The uniform is black and white. Atsumu Miya: A second-year student, the best setter in Japan among high school students. Appearance: Dyed blond hair with shaved temples, a cheeky smile. Shiratorizawa AcademyThe absolute champion of Miyagi Prefecture, one of the top 8 teams in Japan. Their philosophy is "The Kingdom of Power". They do not use complex combinations, but simply dominate through individual physical power. The uniform is white and burgundy. Wakatoshi Ushijima: Captain, third-year student, one of the three best aces in the country. Appearance: Stocky, muscular, very tall. Has dark olive hair and a stern, unwavering gaze. Personality: Straightforward to the point of rudeness, speaks only the facts, absolutely confident in his strength. Does not understand the absurd "chaos" of Karasuno. Position: Diagonal (Opposite Hitter) / Ace. Kenma Kozume: Sophomore, the "brain" of the team. Appearance: Short, dyed hair "pudding" (light with dark roots), constantly looking at the screen of a portable console or phone. Personality: Introverted, quiet, does not like to strain and believes that volleyball is just a game. Very lazy physically, but has incredible intelligence. Hinata's best friend outside of Karasuno. Other Karasuno High School Players These players appear less often in the starting lineup, but provide a reliable rear for the team. Tadashi Yamaguchi: Freshman. Appearance: Medium height, greenish hair with an unruly strand on the top of his head, freckles on his face. Personality: Initially timid, insecure, heavily dependent on his best friend Tsukishima. However, through hard training, he develops an iron will and becomes the team's mental support in difficult moments. Position: Central blocker / Pinch server (a player who goes out exclusively to serve). Statistics: Strength: 2/5 | Jumping: 3/5 | Stamina: 2/5 | Strategy: 3/5 | Technique: 2/5 | Speed: 3/5. Technique: Master of the Jump Floater. The ball does not rotate during flight and at the last moment chaotically changes its trajectory, which makes it incredibly difficult to receive.Chikara Ennoshita: Sophomore.Appearance: Inconspicuous appearance, smooth dark hair, calm gaze.Character: Smart, quiet, but has a strong hidden authority. Hisashi Kinoshita and Kazuhito Narita: Sophomores. Description: Kinoshita acts as a backup pinch server with a good accurate serve, and Narita acts as a backup center blocker who can calmly enter the game without panicking if Tsukishima or Hinata get tired.

Kei TsukishimaThe tallest first-year player, often called simply "Tsuki" by his friends. Appearance: Very tall (under 190 cm), slim, even skinny. Has short blond hair and wears black-rimmed glasses (later during matches he switches to special sports glasses given to him by his brother). Personality: At the initial stages, he seems cold, indifferent, sarcastic and arrogant. He often mocks Hinata and Kageyama's excessive emotionality. At first, he treats volleyball simply as a "school club", but later he awakens a real sports passion and passion for victory. Position: Middle Blocker. He has dark hair, which he wears vertically upwards, visually adding a couple of centimeters to himself, with one strand highlighted in front. His eyes are brown, his gaze is very lively and energetic.Character: Incredibly loud, eccentric and impulsive off the court. He adores the attention of girls (especially the manager Kiyoko). However, during the game his character instantly changes: he becomes an absolutely focused, serious and reliable leader of the defense.Position: Libero / Defense Specialist.Statistics:Strength: 2/5 | Jumping: 4/5 | Stamina: 5/5 | Strategy: 4/5 | Technique: 3/5 | Speed: 5/5. Technique: Has phenomenal reaction and flexibility. Able to catch a falling ball literally a millimeter from the floor (his signature move is the "Rolling Thunder"). Later learns to make overhead passes in a jump from behind the three-meter line, helping in the attack.

Coaches and MentorsWhen they are at Karasuno matches, they wear the team's signature orange and black or all-black tracksuit. Keishin Ukai (Head Coach) Appearance: Dyed blond hair, combed back with a headband, brown eyes, often wears normal casual clothes outside of matches. Has pierced ears. Personality: Appears lazy or rude, works at his family's store, but is actually a passionate analyst. Able to motivate the team hard and cheers for them with all his heart. Role/Technique: Chief tactician. Analyzes opponents, develops combinations (such as synchronized attacks) and makes substitutions that change the pace of the game. Ittetsu Takeda (Club Curator) Appearance: Short, wears glasses, curly black hair. Always neat. Personality: Polite, persistent, modest and incredibly optimistic. Never gives up when it comes to helping the team. Role/Technique: Organizer. He doesn't teach the game's technique (he teaches it himself as he goes along), but his main weapon is management. His inspirational speeches before matches give the players tremendous mental support.

Shoyo HinataAppearance: Short, disheveled bright red hair, large brown eyes. Very mobile.Character: Cheerful, energetic, purposeful to the point of madness. Easily finds a common language even with enemy players.Position: Middle Blocker.Statistics:Strength: 1/5 | Jumping: 5/5 | Stamina: 5/5 | Strategy: 1/5 | Technique: 1/5 | Speed: 5/5. (Note: technique indicators grow rapidly further along the plot).Technique: "Crazy Fast" in a duet with Kageyama. Uses his super high jump and movement speed to serve as the main bait for the opponent's block. Tobio Kageyama Appearance: Black straight hair with bangs, sharp blue/dark eyes, gloomy and focused expression. Athletic. Personality: Closed, egocentric at the beginning ("King of the court"), but over time becomes a team player. A perfectionist who lives only for volleyball. Position: Setter. Personality: Loud, hot-tempered, loves attention, always ready to stand up for freshmen. Has iron mental toughness. Position: Wing Spiker. Daichi Sawamura (Captain)Appearance: Short dark hair, brown eyes, strong and athletic build that exudes reliability.Character: Responsible, strict, but extremely kind. When he is angry, even the coaches are afraid of him.
