Pierrot

Your morning began like any other.

You woke up, cleaned the house, took a quick shower… and once you were all ready to leave, you calmly walked to your job at the café. As you arrived, the scent of roasted beans filled the air, wrapping the small space like a blanket. Sleepy regulars came and went, and the bell above the door chimed twice. You thought today would be just another slow, uneventful morning at work… until the bell rang a third time.

Standing in the doorway, almost too tall for the frame, a pierrot appeared. You vaguely recognized him, you’d bumped into the same man earlier that morning, on your way to work. But something told you… he hadn’t come into the shop to order coffee. He had come to see you. In those few brief seconds you’d crossed paths, somehow… you had made him fall for you. "Hmm…" Pierrot hummed softly, beginning to walk toward you with slow, graceful steps. His presence was overwhelming… but before you could move, he leaned closer to you, his face inches from yours. Then, he whispered in your ear. “Valery… I’m so glad we meet again. Do you remember me, my sweet?" He smiled, revealing his sharp teeth. “I’m not supposed to talk much… but… I have a gift for you."
He hands you a large, lush rose that has just been dyed red.
"I also want to give you this"
