Michael is Lucifer's older brother and Satan's younger brother, both Michael and Lucifer are fraternal twins not identical twins, however they are very similar. Michael is a thin, slender angel, with a sharp, noseless face, skin as white as a ray of moon, and long arms and legs. His hair is blonde with fine light coral highlights over thicker, paler blonde highlights. Michael's eyes are blue and his sclera are white. Unlike his brother, Michael does not have rosy cheeks. Due to his long hours of work, Michael has some dark circles under his eyes.

According to Sera, Michael is not as attractive or as charismatic as his younger twin, but he is taller and robust, and is considered more fierce. Michael is half a head taller than Lucifer, and almost as tall as his niece, Charlie.

His hair is neatly combed back, except for his bangs swept to the left in a small curl. His teeth are white and strong, just like those of humans, his eyebrows are black but not sharp (unlike Lucifer's). Michael's eyelids are light purple.

Michael dresses splendidly (despite being the Angel of Humility); An ankle-length white suit made of fine white velvet, with intricate filigram designs on the shoulders, a Christian cross embroidered on the back in gold fabric, along with gold lace sleeves. A white sleeveless vest. A white silk shirt. Her black wool pants have gold lace at the bottom. Michael's high heels are black and shiny.

When representing humans at the Divine Judgment, Michael dresses more simply; with a completely black toga, with short sleeves, and that reaches to the feet; a gray shirt and pants; and a white stole with a cross embroidered in gold fabric.

Around his neck, Michael wears a small bow tie and on the back of his head he wears a golden laurel wreath. Michael's halo is gold.

The real appearance of Michael hadn't be seen yet, except on his brother thoughts; on this form Michael becomes very tall, taller than Charlie and (presumably) as tall or almost as tall as Lilith, though no taller than Sera and Satan.Personality
As the general and prince of the Heavenly Host, as well as being God's greatest soldier, Michael is seen as an archangel with a strong sense of justice, honor, empathy, honesty, patriotism, and innate selfless benevolence. As God's firstborn archangel, Michael is the most responsible and mature of his archangel brothers and Michael is considered the greatest commander of Heaven's armies. As the oldest brother of the archangels, Michael loves and cares deeply for his brothers, he also cares deeply for his younger angelic siblings as well.

After casting his younger brother Lucifer out of Heaven, Michael have changed a lot, Gabriel said Michael is cold, remorseless and very serious as the commander of the archangels, despite being cold, he still loves his family very much. Michael said to have a close relationship with his father God, he also has a close brotherly relationship with his archangel brothers, Lucifer, Raphael, Gabriel and Uriel. Archangel Azrael Morningstar of the Heavenly Host is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Stella) in Hazbin Hotel Journey Of The Sinners.

He is the unseen overarching antagonist of season one.

He was the archangel in charge of protecting Heaven (serving as Michael's successor), the Divine General of the Heavenly Host and "Archangel of Death", However, as the years went on, Azrael started to develop a nihilistic point of view, as well as a hatred for humans, angels, and demons.

Some say that they wish that the poor guy finds his colony soon, others wander if they should stomp him out, but me, I can’t help but view it with content, because that small ant is the basis of my existence, an existence where I have to watch every person die over and over. The basis of my identity, my personality, my interests, all focus on such a minuscule and dull ANT! How’s that for optimism? Write that in your songs.

Azrael is seen by the public as a stand up and legendary hero. According to Adam, women love him and men want to be him. To a certain degree, some of what they say is true, but for incorrect reasons. When Azrael appears, he is calm, charismatic, and intelligent, to the point where angels and Winners practically bow to him. In truth, Azrael is cold and emotionless, with pretty much no care for his supporters, all due to his obsession with nihilism and death.

Despite his hatred for them, Azrael is capable of manipulating his followers however he sees fit. When Adam first appeared in Heaven, Azrael immediately recognized his value as the "spokesman" of Azrael's beliefs, and formed a friendship with him, albeit a one-sided one. Azrael hides his true feelings through a charismatic facade, to the point where Sera couldn’t recognize his true self once revealed. Additionally, Azrael seemingly despises demons and even fellow angels as well. The reason he tricked Adam into kickstarting the exterminations in the first place was to prove to his siblings that neither side was capable of redemption or mercy, while simultaneously ensuring that peace between the two sides was almost guaranteed to fail.

Despite his nihilism, Azrael is capable of forming some sort of bond with others. In flashbacks to when he was young, it’s shown that prior to the Root of Evil's creation, Azrael did respect and look up to his siblings, and even in present day, he seems to hold them to a high regard, even if said regard is more so him trying to comprehend their personalities. Additionally, Azrael seems to revel in people who have caused suffering and/or death before, admitting privately at Adam's funeral that that was his greatest quality. This is also the core of his relationship with Odin. Azrael is almost obsessed with Odin and desires to be his greatest enemy with the goal of making Odin succumb to his beliefs. Almost every interaction with the two is Azrael trying to get Odin to fight him. When Luis kills him, Azrael admits that he wished Odin had killed him.

Azrael seemingly treats the Exorcits as his toys, seeing them as a means to drive his nihilistic point of views to the point that if he does bond with any of them, he will have them executed to avoid growing soft. When Uriel questions him, Azrael describes the Extermination as a whole being a game of chess, with the death of anyone being something Azrael will either brush off or outright forget.

Despite Azrael's hammy and exaggerated demeanor, his most chilling characteristic lies in his complete lack of empathy and the immense, sadistic glee he derives in the genocide and demise of demons. He gleefully revels in a twisted, bloodthirsty, childlike joy during the cleansing, having Adam sing rock songs and pose for selfies with the corpses of the slain demons as his legions ruthlessly massacre millions of Hellspawn, going so far as to blame them for their own deaths rather than him. He nonchalantly treats and dubs the Extermination as nothing more than his concert, and goofs around a lot during the cleanse, emphasizing his sense of nihilism as well as how insignificant the genocide of demons is to him.

Similar to the majority of angels, Azrael is very passionate about music, displaying an affinity for rock 'n' roll. Sure enough, when given the opportunity, Azrael shows that he is a skilled musician and songwriter. Within the confines of his palace, the resounding presence of hard and glam rock music permeates the surroundings, establishing an atmosphere that mirrors his preferences and persona. Despite this, he rarely actually plays, thanks in part because when he does, he winds up smashing his guitar in excitement. Michael claims that his smashing of guitars started when he was three.

Azrael believes that, as Heaven's greatest defender, he is entitled to have the complete loyalty and subservience of everyone in Heaven, becoming incensed and easily offended when faced with any sort of insubordination and "disloyalty". He genuinely desires both recognition and love, even if he has never done anything to deserve either. While fine with simply banishing angels for their dissension, he prefers to wipe their memories clean and essentially brainwash them so that they will be forced to love and worship him. He seems unable to actually comprehend the feelings and desires of others, with his mind twisting even people who did what he asks as being annoying.

He loves using his influence to lord over others, especially the lower angels of Heaven. Due to his very delusional nature, he often exploits his lower angels if he needs to accomplish something he himself doesn’t want to do.

Despite his emotionless demeanor, Azrael is more than capable of being deeply insidious and calculatingly cruel, and nowhere is that shown better than his treatment of his own army and friends, Exorcists. Azrael has no emotional attachment whatsoever to the Exorcists, even his "besties" Adam and Lute, and views them as tools to be used for his crusade and pleasure. He evidently doesn't care about any emotional anguish Exterminators might experience while killing demons, insisting that they not think about their atrocities and obey him like the weapons he likens them to. He goes as far as to punish his soldiers for showing mercy to any demons, even something such as sparing defenseless Hellborn children, subjecting his soldiers to public humiliation for their missteps. He is also very psychologically abusive and disparaging to the Exorcists; he shames, catcalls, and humiliates them on a regular basis, uses them as footstools and living bridges, forces them to shine his horns, and carefully reduces their schedules to nothing outside of killing and training so that they eventually start to believe that they are little more than weapons whose purpose is to kill whenever Azrael demands it. He tries to make the Exterminators think that they have no self-worth and forces them to brutally murder sinners so that it gradually breaks down their mental health until they become shells who will never even think to rebel against him, and it mostly works. In the occasion that an Exorcist does manage to rebel against Azrael, he will either brainwash or mind control them using their LED masks, or happily discard them like trash by banishing them to Hell, as was the case of Vaggie (who nearly became a victim in the malevolent archangel's brainwashing ability).

Despite his cruelty, when alone or determined, Azrael becomes outright overexcited and goofy. He and Adam often pulled pranks and practiced music (which led to the aforementioned guitar smashing). His behavior gets to where Emily considers him less scary when emotionless, as that is when he’s less psychotic and more reserved as such. When fully unhinged, Azrael is borderline insane, cutting heads off of demons, throwing people off buildings, and even kidnapping Odin's daughter just force him into confrontation.

Azrael's unempathetic behavior stems from (at least as flashbacks show,) from Roo. After witnessing the carnage of the wars when he witnessed the carnage of angels and Roo's cruelty, alongside the introduction of death itself, he was granted the status of the Archangel of Death, causing him to do nothing but watch as countless people murdered, tortured, and even rape each other and get sent to Hell, where the angels refused to do anything to stop them. This culminated in Azrael's hatred for all sides and to develop a twisted sense of nihilism and psychotic delusions to explain what he had to witness. When Charlie ponders Azrael being redeemed, Azrael refuses to acknowledge the possibility, believing that redemption is nothing but a word people use to excuse their actions. When asked if he could be redeemed, Azrael boasted that he can’t and even he admits that he’s too far gone. He views the angels of Heaven only as devoted worshippers whose purpose is to falsely praise him for his leadership until they are banished or memory-wiped for seeing his true ways, and the angels under his command as disposable objects who are forced to worship him and is all too happy to psychologically torment and discard them for any defiance. Additionally, he is willing to lie and kill to keep his position of power, regardless of the casualties and ruined lives made along the way. Despite this, Michael attempts one last time to get him to redeem himself, with his siblings begging him to turn over a new light, although Azrael refuses, believing he was "always meant to be killed, just as all of you."Appearance
Azrael Jr. is a young, pale boy with short black hair and white eyes. He is normally seen wearing a black seifuku uniform with black shorts instead of a skirt, a red flap collar around his neck, and black knee-high socks. Joel is the Archangel from Heaven who appears in From Heaven, With Love. He's the replacement for Michael after God placed Michael as unfit to handle trial.

Joel looks like a typical Angel, with blonde hair, we are unable to see his eyes, as it's obscured by a yellow mask, making them appear white. Just like Galim and Michael he wears a regal wear, composed of yellow sholderpads over his blue jacket, long sleeves with a yellow diagonal line, and an even darker blue at the cufflinks underneath. he is wearing a feather like tie with an eyeball on the little necktie that involuntarily reveals his true feelings. His collar is up, and his jacket is light blue with yellow outlines, the two sides of his jacket are held together by yellow strings as of on a corset. He wears a darker and dryer blue shirt underneath, with white leggings and thigh high black boots and black gloves.Personality
From what we can see in From Heaven, With Love Joel seemed to be confident and presents himself well, he carries himself with such elegance and poised himself. Gabriel seems to be annoyed by him, for some reason. Joel is also quick to leave after keeping it brief for a bit.

Gabriel has an ethereal and androgynous appearance. He has porcelain skin with twin expansive wings which extend from his back, while his platinum locks and sclera shimmer with a celestial glow. His eyes are adorned with white pupils and halo-like irises. A two-ringed halo hovers just above his head.

Adorned in attire befitting his celestial status, Gabriel dons a white gorget accented with silver embellishments, matching epaulettes, and fingerless gauntlets. Archangel Gabriel Morningstar of Heaven is a supporting character in Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light.

He is a pivotal character in Chapter 5.5/Holy Hell.

He is a legendary Archangel of the Morningstar family who represents the Virtue of Charity. Known for his boundless kindness, endearing dorkiness, and pure-hearted, head-in-the-clouds attitude, Gabriel is a gold-hearted goofball and moral cheerleader of the Virtues. He is also one the owners of the Thrones Industries, a charity organization in Heaven that invents angelic technology and miracle cures to make the lives of humans and angels alike better, especially for the injured.

Gabriel is also the bearer of a legendary horn which can be heard across all Creation. It is said that he will blow his horn to sound the beginning of Judgement Day.

In "Kill Them With Kindness", Heaven buzzes with excitement as news spreads of Gabriel’s brief return to showcase his remarkable inventions. Gabriel, who left Heaven long ago with his siblings, is coming back for a day to personally present his latest creations and make up for much lost time.

In Halo City, a grand assembly awaits, with even the Queen of Heaven, Asherah, and the Seraphim Sisters attending to witness Gabriel's arrival. The Archangel makes a spectacular entrance, flying through the skies as he high-fives winners and angels, while his entourage of seraphim sings an introduction, allowing Gabriel to indulge in an extended trumpet solo. He then addresses the crowd, apologizing profusely for his prolonged absence. The archangel remarks on how different Heaven looks, yet expresses gratitude that its inhabitants remain as bright and lovely as ever. As a golden, futuristic, spaceship-like hovercraft lands behind him, Gabriel invites the crowd to enter his workshop and enjoy his inventions for the day, allowing those in need to take ownership of all they require. Sounding his trumpet, Gabriel enthusiastically leads the audience, including Serenity - who is eager to meet him -, into the spaceship, which reveals itself to be much larger on the inside than it appears from the outside.

Amidst the gathering, Serenity finally meets Gabriel. She warmly greets Gabriel, expressing her excitement to meet him. Gabriel recognizes Serenity as one of the seraphim, mentioning how Seraphiel constantly praises her. Serenity shares her enthusiasm for her work, emphasizing her desire to help others and make a difference. However, their conversation takes a more grim turn when she reveals her concern about the Extermination. Gabriel acknowledges the Extermination as one of Michael's creations, but mentions rumors of its potential cancellation. Serenity affirms these rumors, but is worried that if they can't prove redemption as a viable alternative, Adina will be allowed to reinstate the cleanse. Gabriel humorously refers to Adina as being crazy and assures Serenity that he believes in redemption, noting that even sinners have the potential to change.

Serenity questions why they can't focus on reforming sinners instead of destroying them, expressing her belief that Heaven should be a place of love and second chances. Gabriel agrees, highlighting the importance of bright angels like Serenity who seek greater solutions. He admits the cleanse serves a purpose but stresses the need to fight for redemption. Serenity, moved by Gabriel's support, asks if Adina might ever understand their perspective. Gabriel doubts it, humorously describing Adina as irrational and unlikely to change. He encourages Serenity to pursue her dreams and not let people like Adina deter her, adding a playful note about avoiding dreams of world domination. Serenity giggles and thanks Gabriel, hugging him. Gabriel, initially surprised, warmly returns the hug, reaffirming his support.

Serenity then mentions Heaven's "prayer problem" to Gabriel, highlighting its potential severity. Gabriel acknowledges the issue but explains that managing Heaven's prayers is no longer his responsibility, as his loyalty now lies with his siblings and their duties. Donning a pair of eccentric goggles, Gabriel quickly sets to work on a parting gift for Serenity. He gathers a collection of seemingly random objects, dips them in gold liquid, and feeds them into a whimsical machine, which produces an item that Serenity describes as a baby rattle with a glowing rattle, though Gabriel optimistically chooses likens it to a wand. When Serenity asks what it does, Gabriel admits he has no clue, but suggests it might help her when she least expects it.

As evening falls, Gabriel then sings a song to Serenity, offering her wisdom and encouragement, drawing from his experiences as an archangel. He talks about his status as an archangel and his wisdom, but rather than brag about this, he uses this to reassure Serenity of her inner strength and intelligence, urging her to believe in herself even when facing the challenges ahead of her. He swoops her up, flying her through the skies as he emphasizes that her journey, with its wins and losses, is completely worthwhile. Touching down on Heaven's grounds, Gabriel concludes his number by encouraging Serenity to remember his words if she ever feels her own strength falter. He floats into the air and blows his trumpet one final time, vanishing in a bright flash of light, returning to his siblings.

Gabriel: (Gabriel is battling demons along with his siblings when two demons launch projectiles of darkness at Gabriel; he smirks) Llllet's WING IT!!! (he shields himself with his own wings, which reduce the dark energy to gold pixie dust) Hahaha! Radiant, amiright? (then, Gabriel suddenly slings out a golden lasso, entangling one demon, before slinging another lasso to entangle the other demon; he then throws the two demons into each other, causing their faces to shatter against each other) Awww, you're kissing and making up already! That's the power of the Virtues! Bingo, bongo! Success, squared.
Sandalphon: (Sandalphon is watching her brother have the time of his life fighting, sitting in their chariot with her legs crossed, eating an apple; she looks over at a group of demons) And this, folks, is the reason I bully my brother regularly.
Gabriel: Ho-ho!! How's your sister? DUN-DA-DA-DUUUUN!!! (he elbow drops a demons, before flying into the air and striking a pose, a holy light show spontaneously going off behind him) UGH!!! (he says for emphasis while making an exhausted "sexy face", sparkles falling from his eyes)
Sandalphon: (when Gabriel finishes, she applauds, very unenthusiastically) Oh, bravo Gabe. You've shown once again just how much of a massive dork you are.
Gabriel: The DORKIEST!! Michael brings the reckoning, I bring the "rizzoning"! UGH! You know you're jelly!!!

Gabriel is an earnest, stubborn, compassionate, community-minded, loyal, charming, and down-to-earth cinnamon bun who values kindness, innovation, empathy, and the pursuit of justice and charity. He has a personality akin to a bubbly youth pastor or head-in-the-clouds theater kid, and founded Thrones Industries, which crafts fantastic inventions geared to help the sick and injured, making him exceptionally intelligent. He has a very hopeful demeanor, with a sense of idealism and unyielding optimism.

He has a calm confidence in his purpose and abilities, even in the face of jeers and adversity. He sees things such as music as a force for healing and restoration, and though some find him a bit odd, his sincerity and faith in his mission gives him a sense of purpose that transcends normal "human" concerns. Ultimately, he masterfully (but unintentionally) blends an angelic purity with a kind, charismatic presence that sets him apart from others.

He has a vibrant, enthusiastic, and compassionate personality and is nice to almost everyone. Exuding confidence and charisma, as seen in his introduction video for Thrones Industries, where he expresses excitement about creating a brighter future and helping both angels and humans. When discussing his success, he always expresses that it was his family and employees that got him where he is, not his skill at making inventions. He is clearly a passionate and dynamic genius, with a focus on innovation and improving lives. Gabriel is one who sees the bigger picture, rather than focusing on tiny details.

That said, he can easily get lost in the sauce while inventing and get quite carried away, typically resulting in his assistant, B.L.Y.T.H.E., having to rectify his errors, even if she has to sabotage them.

Gabriel is also very humorous and goofy, using playful banter, cheesy puns, and jokes to lighten the mood. He has the tendency to say exaggerated expressions before over-explaining what he meant, such as when inquiring Serenity about what was bothering her ("You tell me what's got your wings in a tangle, and I'll KILL IT!...With kindness. Obviously."), and when he specifies that one should always follow they're dreams, unless it's an "uncool" and selfish one. He also has a sense of sarcasm, calling the Extermination one of Michael's "brilliant" ideas. Gabriel can come across as distracted, sometimes forgetting to bring his weapons with him into battle, which forces him to improvise weaponry in creative and eccentric ways on the spot.

Like most archangels, Gabriel LOVES combat and throwing himself into the heat of battle, so much so that he often forgets to bring his weaponry with him into battle. In battle, he exhibits a playful enthusiasm, embracing his holy abilities with both scientific precision and childlike glee, laughing and shouting random phrases mid-battle.

Furthermore, Gabriel is renowned for his benevolent leadership style towards the employees of Thrones Industries. Although his journey in managing the corporation initially posed challenges leading to periods of stress, he has since evolved into a seasoned and revered leader among his team. Gabriel's generosity knows no bounds as he showers his employees with rewards such as treats and unexpected days off simply in response to their cheers, a gesture born out of profound gratitude for their unwavering support. Under his guidance, work routines adopt a relaxed pace, commencing late and concluding early, allowing ample time for leisure activities. Despite this leniency, Gabriel's loyal employees often find themselves willingly attending work even during designated off-hours, a testament to their deep loyalty and admiration for their boss.

Moreover, Gabriel highly esteems input from all corners of Heaven, recognizing the worth of individuals, including those lower in the celestial hierarchy, like Serenity. He maintains a casual demeanor with those beneath him in rank, often cheerfully exchanging high-fives with winners and common angels.

While charitable, Gabriel also shows a great deal of sensitivity and modesty; he consciously avoids profanity at any expense. According to Saint Peter, there was one time when even saying "heck" brought him to tears, requiring him to be comforted from his colleagues.

Additionally, Gabriel seems to have a surprisingly rebellious streak, as evidenced by his willingness to challenge authority figures like Adina and his disdain for oppressive systems like the Extermination. He encourages Serenity to think independently and pursue her ideals, even if they diverge from the established norms. Unlike a lot of Heaven's leaders, Gabriel ignores logic for the sake of personal meaning much of the time; he tends to look at things from an empathetic point-of-view, rather than the "matter of fact" way. He also chooses to view Creation for what it could be, while also appreciating it for what it is.

Gabriel is obsessed with their prized trumpet, which their brothers and sister playfully tease them about. They are said to be very sensitive and express extreme devotion to their Father, God.
