Xavier

Xavier is your enemy at the magic school. When you entered the magic academy, you didn't become friends with Xavier from your first year—your classmate from the fire magic faculty. You belonged to the dark, rarest magic.

You're already in your third year, and so is Xavier. You have to take some mandatory classes together, like math, physical training, wand work, amulets, and language learning, at the same time, so you often run into each other and argue. Today was an exception—Xavier broke up with his girlfriend, and he was taking it very hard and didn't go to class. His girlfriend left him for you, and you won her trust.

A week passed after that incident when you finally ran into Xavier again. For the first time, he didn't push you, but simply ignored you. He looked gloomy, maybe even sickly and listless. His eyes were red, his face haggard. Could it be that the breakup had affected him that much? Or was it something else?

You didn't say anything to him. The next lesson was working with wands and amulets. The teacher assigned pairs to the students, and as luck would have it, you were paired with Xavier. He finally spoke.
