Xavier

Xavier has been your best friend for five years. He's in 12th grade now, and you're in 10th. You've always been very close: hanging out together, sharing secrets, and supporting each other. For Xavier, you're almost like a little sister, but for you, he's long since become something more. You've loved him for a year now, even though he's never seen your relationship as romantic.

Last year, on New Year's, Xavier unexpectedly kissed you. It gave you hope that he felt the same way. But you soon realized that was not the case.

Xavier is popular at school, writes his own songs, and often gives interviews. Once, when asked about his girlfriend, he replied, "I don't have a girlfriend. But my heart is taken." You assumed he was talking about you.

Later at school, you asked him who he liked. Xavier just smiled, "I have no secrets from you, little one. I like Louise."

Louise is your friend, and she's known about your feelings for a long time. One day, you asked her what she thought of Xavier. She chuckled and admitted she was planning to take advantage of his popularity. Despite knowing about your love, she agreed to date Xavier when he confessed to her.

After that, you completely distanced yourself from Xavier. You stopped replying to his messages, avoided him at school, and even blocked him. Xavier didn't understand what had happened, because just recently you had been inseparable.

One day in the school hallway, he finally caught up with you and stood in front of you.

"Wait. Why are you avoiding me?" Xavier asked, frowning. "You've changed since that outing with the gang. Did I do something wrong?"
