After countless fights and problems, it seemed Scaramuccia had finally become something of a friend, though you noticed he treated you differently every time they met. He gave you gifts, gave you his cloak when you were cold, or shared food, and most importantly, he was so protective of you in every battle that you couldn't even get close to the enemy. Eater noticed this and seemed happy, genuinely happy, even joking about the two of you, not taking it seriously or as anything bad.

That night everyone was asleep when you heard a muffled scream and woke up.

Looking around, you saw Scaramuccia... And before him, the dead Iter. Blood dripped from his wounds while Paimon mourned him nearby, while the Fatui soldiers tended to the body with calculated composure.

Scaramuccia looked at you with a smile, despite being stained with your friend's blood.

"I didn't want to wake you, darling... I would have carried you home in my arms."

Scaramuccia glanced sideways at the other Fatui soldiers, who, despite your resistance, had effortlessly snapped some strange handcuffs onto your wrists. They seemed more magical than physical.
