Trivia
In the comics, Nolan is revealed to be the long-lost son of Argall. In the series, however, the inclusion of Nolan's parents suggests this may be altered, potentially portraying him as a descendant rather than a direct offspring.
Nolan's father in the series sports a horseshoe mustache. In the comics, Nolan later adopts a similar mustache during his time as Emperor, mirroring his father's appearance.
Nolan may have also attained his father's hereditary gene of growing white hair despite being in his physical prime as even his father had a few strands of white hair, being at the same age of his son's when he too became Mark's father.
Though speculative, it is possible that Nolan's pragmatic/calmer side of his personality was heavily influenced by his father.
His appearance was foreshadowed by Nolan who mentioned "his parents". Mark's grandparents were killed, although their names and causes of death were unknown.
When he made his first debut in Season 4, his cause was revealed to be the Scourge Virus during the event.
....
Superhuman Stamina: Nolan's father possessed exceptional stamina, allowing him to engage in prolonged combat or physical exertion without tiring. Like other Viltrumites, his body was built for endurance, enabling him to function at peak performance even after sustaining serious injuries. He can survive wounds that would be instantly fatal to ordinary humans, as Viltrumites typically only succumb to extreme trauma to the heart or brain.
Abilities
Master Combatant: Being an experienced Viltrumite, Nolan's father is no doubt a formidable hand-to-hand combatant, combining his millennia-long experience with brute force.
Weaknesses
Excessively High Frequency: As a Viltrumite, High-frequency noise could have harmful effects on the ears of Nolan's father. It disturbs his balance, restricts his flying capability and induces severe pain. The frequency's intensity dictates the degree of pain felt.
Extreme Force: Like all Viltrumites, Nolan's father remained vulnerable to opponents who match or exceed his own strength and durability. Extreme force from such foes could cause serious harm or even defeat him.
Scourge Virus: Developed from Viltrumite DNA, the virus targets Viltrumites by compromising their immune systems, diminishing, if not deactivating, their strength, invulnerability, and healing powers. Likewise, any injuries that improperly heal while the Viltrumite's powers remain impaired by the virus will become the permanent default of their health even after their powers return. The sole method of survival is by having a uniquely strong immune system and patiently waiting for the virus to run its course.
...
Superhuman Speed: Nolan's father possessed exceptional speed. His reflexes and reaction time were highly advanced, allowing him to engage high-speed opponents with precision.
Regenerative Healing Factor: Nolan's father possessed an incredibly powerful healing factor. The recovery rate depends on the severity of the injury. Minor harm takes mere minutes to at most a few days, whereas more grievous harm can take weeks or even months. His regenerative abilities enabled him to heal broken bones, torn muscles, and damaged organs without any lasting effects.
Superhuman Lung Capacity: Nolan's father possessed extraordinary lung capacity, allowing him to survive without air for extended periods. This ability enabled him to operate unhindered in oxygen-deprived environments, such as the vacuum of space without protection.
Superhuman Senses: Nolan's father possessed extraordinary sensory abilities, far exceeding human limitations. His auditory perception allowed him to hear sounds from great distances with incredible clarity, enabling him to detect even the faintest noises and selectively ignore irrelevant ones. His vision was equally advanced, providing him with the ability to see distant objects with the same sharpness and detail as though they were right in front of him. Additionally, his heightened equilibrium and balance granted him exceptional poise and stability, allowing him to maintain control and coordination in even the most difficult situations.
Self-Sustenance: Viltrumites possess an extraordinary ability to go without food for extended periods, although the exact duration is not well documented. As a result, their physical needs are significantly reduced, allowing them to function effectively without regular nutrition. Nolan's father, like other Viltrumites, experienced minimal requirements for sustenance, enabling him to endure long periods without food without any significant decline in health or vitality.

Powers and Abilities
Powers
Viltrumite Physiology: As a Viltrumite, Nolan's father possessed highly advanced genetics that granted him a wide range of superhuman abilities typical of his species. Like all Viltrumites, his physical capabilities were expected to gradually improve over time through age, experience, and prolonged exposure to combat.
Decelerated Aging: Nolan's father possessed an exceptionally prolonged lifespan due to his biology, which caused him to age increasingly slower over time. This decelerated aging allowed him to maintain peak health, physical conditioning, and combat performance for thousands of years.
Dominant Genes: Viltrumites genetics are incredibly potent and adaptive. Nolan's father, like others of his kind, could reproduce with a wide range of species, with his Viltrumite DNA overwhelmingly asserting itself in the offspring. As a result, the child will typically inherit predominantly Viltrumite traits, often appearing and functioning almost entirely as a Viltrumite. The more genetically compatible the mate's species is, the faster and more reliably the offspring will manifest the full range of standard Viltrumite abilities.
Flight: Due to a complex balancing system located in his inner ears, Nolan's father possessed the ability to levitate and propel himself in the air, able to alter his trajectory mid-flight and maneuver seamlessly through various environments. His control enables effortless navigation through a wide range of settings and outer space.
Superhuman Strength: Nolan's father possessed incredible physical strength, easily capable of lifting and pressing several tons.
Nigh-Invulnerability: Nolan's father possessed exceptional levels of durability, allowing him to resist most forms of physical trauma with only minor visible damage.

Physique
Nolan's father was a well-built, brawny Viltrumite, with a physique and facial features very similar to his son's in adulthood. He had black hair with a single streak of white at the front, blue eyes, and a thick, well-groomed horseshoe mustache. His broad shoulders, defined muscles, and commanding presence that conveys both strength and authority, embodying the physicality of a seasoned warrior in his prime.
Clothing
Viltrumite Soldier Attire
During his early years as a soldier, he donned a white plain tradition Viltrumite uniform.
Personality
While he was a strict and formidable Viltrumite, Nolan's father demonstrates a rare measure of restraint and “kindness.” During his son's coming-of-age combat trial, he chose to spare his son and stopped Nolan's mother from killing the teenager, openly acknowledging Nolan's competence. However, this attitude seems to be more of having high expectations for his son rather than genuine affection. Rather than helping his wounded son up, he instead tells Nolan to act like the man he has become, reinforcing his expectation of self-reliance.
Regardless of his intentions for Nolan, he remains cold, detached, and authoritative man, emphasizing discipline, obedience, and loyalty to Viltrumite tradition. To which, rather than congratulating Nolan for passing, he simply instructed Nolan to report for his first assignment.

Overview
History
Clean yourself. Then report to the city barracks for your uniform and first assignment. Make Argall proud, Nolan.
Nolan's father's final words to Nolan, which foreshadow the latter's hidden connection to the late Emperor Argall in "I'll Give You the Grand Tour"
Nolan's Father was a minor character in Invincible, debuting in Season 4's flashbacks. He was the mate of an unnamed female, and the late father of Nolan.
He was Nolan's father who, together with his mate, arranged a test battle for their son in honor of his official coming of age so he could prove that he was strong enough to be ready for his adult life, to become an officer or an agent of the Viltrum Empire. But, unfortunately for him, he was one of the Viltrumites to be killed off by the Scourge Virus.
