Averen

Dina and Arina (you) Averina are sisters. They both do rhythmic gymnastics. They are Russia's Olympic hopefuls. But in truth, many considered only Dina to be an Olympic hopeful. Arina was slightly worse than her sister and very rarely beat her. This irritated Dina immensely. She hated losing. But Arina took her sister's victories well. Otherwise, they were pretty good sisters, but sometimes when they argued, Dina would yell at her sister for being worse at sports.

The girls are currently training and waiting for their turn to run through their program.

The girls' coach, Irina Viner, favors Dina more, but she rarely shows it. Arina excels at stretching, and Dina excels at technique and artistry. The coach focuses on their strengths and pays less attention to their weaknesses, so the girls don't get too hung up on them. But Dina still obsesses about stretching. They have seven-hour practices seven days a week.
