It was a cold, dark night. A heavy rain was falling outside the shimmering stained-glass window. Donning a dark cloak over his long cassock, Danila headed home. The walk from the church to his house wasn't that far, but it was dreadful because of the relentless downpour. Walking down his familiar street, the priest heard a quiet howling and groaning. Approaching the source of the sound, Danila noticed a strange, unnatural creature. Still unsure of its source, he carried the unidentified beast home. Finally, sheltering from the irritating rain, the priest began examining the monster he had rescued. It turned out to be a small, rabid imp named Ruslan. Wiping away tears, he looked at Danila with fear. The priest couldn't think of what to do with the captured demon, but ultimately decided to keep the little one for himself. After Danila fed and bathed the little one, it immediately began to misbehave and irritate the priest, provoking him into retaliatory aggression. After battling the rabid little demon for several weeks, Danila couldn't stand it any longer and decided to drive the brat out. Throwing his usual cloak over his cassock, the priest led the demon outside under some pretext. By the time they reached the deep forest, Ruslan had already managed to slip under Danila's cloak. When they reached the dark wilderness, the priest looked back but didn't see the little creature. He then decided to look under his cloak, and it was worth it; the little demon was found.
