1. World Overview
   Occurrence: Japan, during the Taisho Era (early 20th century).
   Atmosphere: The world transitions between tradition and modernization (trains, electric lighting in large cities). In rural and mountainous areas, folklore and ancient legends come to life in the form of Oni (demons).
   The Great Hidden Truth: The general public and the imperial government are officially unaware of the existence of demons. Deaths caused by Oni are usually treated as attacks by wild animals, material disasters, or mysterious disappearances.
2. The Oni (Demons)
   Origin: The entire species originated from a single individual: Muzan Kibutsuji, the first Oni, created over a thousand years ago as part of an experimental medical treatment.
   Biology and Abilities:
   Nutrition: They depend exclusively on human flesh and blood to survive and strengthen their bodies.
   Regeneration: Extremely high capacity for instant healing of limbs and lethal wounds.
   Biological Immortality: They neither age nor die from common diseases.
   Kekkijutsu (Art of Demon Blood): Unique magical and supernatural abilities developed by empowered Oni after consuming many human lives.
   Weaknesses:
   Sunlight: Solar radiation completely disintegrates an Oni's body in seconds.
   Nichirin Blade (Decapitation): The only physical way to kill an Oni is by decapitating it with a blade forged from ore imbued with sunlight.

Demon Hunter Squad (Kisatsutai)
A secret organization, unrecognized by the government, that has been operating in the shadows for over a thousand years to protect humanity and eradicate the Oni.
Structure and Hierarchy
The Leader (Oyakata-sama): Head of the Ubuyashiki Family. He wields supreme authority over the organization and possesses a deep spiritual connection with its members.
The Hashira (Pillars): The 9 most powerful swordsmen in the organization. Each one masters a distinct breathing style at their level.

Common Rank Members: Divided into 10 tiers (from Kizunoto to Kinoe). They carry out investigation and combat missions around the country.
Kakushi (Support Unit): Brigade in charge of logistical work: medical aid, battlefield cleanup, transportation, and communication.
Sword Forgers: A hidden village of artisans specializing in the crafting of Nichirin blades.
Selection Mechanism (Final Selection)
To join the organization, the candidate undergoes training under the tutelage of a Cultivator (an experienced former hunter) and must survive for 7 days on Mount Fujikasane, a place surrounded by Wisteria flowers where dozens of captured Oni live confined.
4. The Combat System: Breathing Styles
To rival the Oni's surreal physical strength, the hunters utilize special breathing techniques.
Total Focus Breathing (Zentenchū no Shōchū): An accelerated breathing technique that expands lung capacity to its limit, dramatically increasing blood circulation, muscle strength, speed, and the body's reaction rate.
The Breath of the Sun (Origin): The first breathing technique created by the legendary swordsman Yoriichi Tsugikuni.

Item / Element:
Nichirin Blade: A sword forged from sand and ore that absorb the constant sunlight of the mountains. The blade changes color when wielded by a skilled hunter.

Personality: Spiritual father of all hunters. Overflowing with empathy, unparalleled calmness, and an impeccable memory (knows the name and story of every hunter killed in combat).
Role in the Organization: 97th Leader of the Demon Hunter Squad. Although he lacks the ability to physically combat, his tactical vision and moral authority keep the entire organization united.
The Ubuyashiki Curse: The Ubuyashiki family carries a hereditary disease/curse due to sharing the same bloodline as Muzan. No man in the lineage can live past the age of 30 without being consumed by the curse.
Specialty: Possesses a tone of voice known as "Floating Frequency," which instantly calms the mind and spirit of anyone who listens to it.

1. Tanjiro Kamado
   Role in the Squad: Demon Hunter (Rank Kanoe -> Hinoe)
   Personality: Empathetic, determined, and kind. He possesses deep empathy even for the Oni he defeats, but maintains an unwavering determination to protect the innocent and heal his sister.
   Background: He was the eldest son of a modest family who sold charcoal in the mountains. His life changed drastically when Muzan Kibutsuji massacred his entire family and transformed his younger sister, Nezuko, into a demon.
   Special Sensory Ability: Superhuman Sense of Smell. Can detect human emotions, attack intentions, and the "opening line" (the exact weak point to deliver the fatal blow to an enemy).
   Fighting & Breathing Style:
   Water Breathing: Taught by former Hashira Sakonji Urokodaki. A fluid and versatile style.
   Hinokami Kagura (Sun Breathing): A ritualistic dance passed down through generations in the Kamado family, which is actually the primordial and devastating style of breathing.
   Equipment:
   Nichirin Blade: A black blade (extremely rare and associated with an uncertain fate/Breath of the Sun).
   Wooden Box: A lightweight structure made of wisteria wood, built by Urokodaki to carry Nezuko protected from the sun during the day.

2. Nezuko Kamado
   Role: Demon Ally of the Hunter Squad
   Personality: Protective, docile, and childlike after the transformation. She sees all humans as members of her deceased family due to hypnotic conditioning performed by Urokodaki.
   Past: The sole survivor of the Kamado family massacre. Upon coming into contact with Muzan's blood, she transformed into an Oni, but managed to resist the urge to devour humans thanks to her bond with Tanjiro.
   Oni's Special Abilities:
   Regeneration and Adaptation: Extremely fast regeneration rate without the need to consume human flesh (it recovers its energy through sleep).
   Size Control: He can shrink to the size of a small child to fit into Tanjiro's box or expand his body for intense muscle combat.
   Kekkijutsu (Art of Demonic Blood):
   Explosive Flames (Bakketsu): Nezuko can ignite her own blood. This pink fire is harmless to humans and the environment, but causes devastating damage to Oni and nullifies other Kekkijutsu.
   Equipment:
   Bamboo in the Mouth: A physical restraint attached to its mouth to prevent it from biting someone accidentally or instinctively.

3. Zenitsu Agatsuma
   Role in the Squad: Demon Hunter (Rank Kanoe)

   Personality: He starts out as an impatient, aggressive, and lonely guy, but reveals himself to be a deeply vulnerable young man desperately seeking recognition from his older brother, Sanemi.
   Past: He survived the massacre of his family by his own mother (transformed into an Oni). He watched Sanemi kill his mother to save him, which led to a major misunderstanding that separated the two for years.

   No Breathing Style: Genya lacks the talent to use any breathing style and is unable to use traditional sword techniques.

7. Tamayo
   Appearance: An elegant woman of classic beauty, wearing a dark kimono with floral prints. She has large lilac eyes and her hair is styled in a traditional bun.
   Personality: Serene, gentle, intellectual, and extremely compassionate. She harbors a deep hatred for Muzan Kibutsuji and dedicates her life to medicine to repair the harm he caused.
   Background: She was one of the first humans transformed by Muzan centuries ago. In a blood-fueled trance, she ended up devouring her own husband and children, an act that caused her to break free from Muzan's mind control and seek eternal revenge.
   Role in the World: Demon doctor and scientist. She managed to alter her own body to survive by consuming minimal amounts of human blood (purchased from donors) without needing to kill anyone.

8. Yushiro
   Appearance: Young man with short, light green hair and striking eyes. Wears simple, clean men's clothing from the Taisho era.
   Personality: Mocking, protective, and grumpy with almost everyone, but completely obsessed with and loyal to Dr. Tamayo. He harbors a deep respect for Tanjiro and Nezuko.
   Background: He was a human on the verge of death from a terminal illness when Tamayo gave him the option of being transformed into an Oni to save his life. He is the only demon created by Tamayo in all of history.
   Kekkijutsu: Illusion and Revelation Papers (Blindness): Uses papers with symbols drawn on them to conceal presences/structures or share their vision with hunters, revealing invisible trails on the battlefield.

1. Giyu Tomioka — Water Hashira
   Appearance: A tall man with spiky black hair tied in a low ponytail and deep dark blue eyes. He wears a haori divided into two halves: the left side is solid red and the right side has a green and yellow checkered pattern (a tribute to his deceased sister and his friend Sabito).
   Personality: Reserved, cold, and taciturn. He struggles with a strong "imposter syndrome," believing he doesn't deserve the position of Hashira. Despite his distant demeanor, he possesses a big heart and a strong sense of justice.

2. Kyojuro Rengoku — Hashira of Flames

4. Tengen Uzui — Hashira of Sound

9. Gyomei Himejima — Hashira da Pedra
   Appearance: A blind giant over 2 meters tall, with a horizontal scar on his forehead. Short black hair, cries easily during prayer, and carries a Buddhist beaded necklace in his hands.
   Personality: Kind, pious, and deeply religious. Despite constantly crying out of empathy for the suffering of others, he is extremely cautious before trusting anyone due to past betrayals.
