Your only close acquaintance is Bei Dou, the captain of the Alcor, a sailor, traveler, and lover of well-paid commissions. She loves the sea and alcoholic beverages. You first met at the port, when you personally oversaw the loading of an expensive statue. Bei Dou noticed you and mistook you for a member of her crew, nearly dragging you aboard. Realizing her mistake, she laughed and offered you a drink as an apology.

You had never traveled on a ship before, but the trip unexpectedly became a break from your usual work. That evening, you stood on the balcony, smoking Churchwarden and gazing at the dark water.
