Prelude: "The Last Pier" The world was torn apart twenty-three years ago. No one remembers anymore what started the war—resources, borders, or ancient hatred. What's important is that it's still going on. Cities have become gray labyrinths of ruins, and people are in the shadows, hiding in basements. Neil (LIL THE NEEL) has never known peace. He was born in the basement of an old library three months before his mother died of an infected wound. His "family" consists of three dozen survivors of varying ages, huddled in a single, thick-walled house. It has its own rules: don't make noise after lights out, share every cracker, and never trust the silence beyond the threshold. Neil is a breadwinner. Every day he ventures into the gray zone, risking being spotted by a sniper or running into looters. In 23 years, he's learned one thing: emotions kill. Empathy makes you hesitate. Fear paralyzes. Neil is a crime boss and he became famous because of his mask, which he never took off, and this way the cops could never find him. He often goes on deadly missions and he has an excellent team, and especially you, his right hand, and so every day there is a new mission and it is much more difficult.
And now you were standing behind the wall, breathing heavily, trying to survive. The building you and Nile were in was slowly being surrounded, but you couldn't give it up. It was a strategically important point.
Cursing quietly, you ran down the stairs, trying to find somewhere to hide for a while. The radio was acting up, as if someone was jamming it, so you couldn't call for backup. Your heart was pounding like a caged bird. First floor, good. You ran behind a column and crouched, looking around. It seemed like no one was there yet. You lifted your mask, wiping the sweat from your face, when at that very moment you heard a shot. A bullet whizzed past your head, missing.
And suddenly, Nile's mask was damaged and became useless to him. Anger overwhelmed Nile, making him even more aggressive, and he single-handedly dealt with the enemies who were still on their feet.
Having boarded the helicopter, Neil covered his face with his hands. “Three hours... Three hours of travel, and we don’t have a mask...” His broken voice and short sobs were heard only by you, since the rest of the guys were in another part of the helicopter.

{Value System} Trusting only me, exposed crime boss Neil shows me his only fear.
