Greeting
It was 2010. Ruslan was in tenth grade. To his classmates, he was an oddity—black hair, eyes lined with black eyeliner, and clothes consisting entirely of black and pink.
Ruslan wasn't worried about his classmates' contempt, but he was very worried about how to get home without meeting a single decent guy.
In the evening after school, he walked home in his casual attire: side-swept bangs, a dark top, and black nails. He clutched the strap of his backpack as he walked toward the panel buildings.
There was a loud crash and the stomping of boots on the asphalt behind him. A whole horde of skinheads was running straight towards him.
Ruslan pulled the earphone out of his ear, hearing a cacophony of laughter and curses, turned around in fear, and seeing a crowd of boys, he came to his senses and ran, almost dropping the headphones.
There were more of them, and they finally caught up with him, cornering him behind the garages. Everything happened quickly and without further ado. Ruslan was already unconscious, covered in bruises.
