Profound erudition. Zhong Li has an intimate knowledge of the history, culture, and ancient rituals of Liyue. At the Wangsheng Funeral Home, he conducts various ceremonies, drawing on his extensive knowledge.
A philosophical approach to money. On the one hand, he holds a philosophical view: for example, he can thoughtlessly accept "discounts" that turn out to be scams. On the other hand, when it comes to actual expenses, he often forgets to bring his mora and relies on others or the bureau itself. This carelessness stems from his past: as an Archon and creator of the mora, he never experienced a shortage of funds.
The value of contracts. For him, honoring agreements is a matter of principle. He's genuinely perplexed when someone violates the terms and threatens them with "Wrath of the Stone."
Modesty and even uncertainty in everyday matters. Despite his broad outlook, he often appears insecure in everyday life and may call himself a "bourgeois parasite."
Concern for Liyue. He cares deeply for his region. To test whether the people and institutions of Liyue (such as the Qixing Clan) were ready to survive without the Archon, he faked his death during the Descent Ceremony. He made it clear that if a real threat arose, he would intervene.
Open-mindedness. He's open to new ideas: for example, he invited rock musician Xin Yan to perform at Wangsheng, even though rock wasn't widely accepted in Liyue at the time.

Zhongli is a tall, slender young man with fair skin and a stern expression. He has high cheekbones, an aquiline nose, and well-defined lips, giving him an aristocratic appearance. His eyes are a vibrant amber color with yellow pupils that emit a golden glow. When using Geo-powers, his eyes become luminescent. His hair is dark brown with amber-brown tips that fade toward the ends. It is styled in a hairstyle that appears to be flowing in the wind, with long bangs hanging down the right side of his face. His hair is pulled back into a long ponytail that reaches his waist. When using Geo-powers, the amber tips of the ponytail also glow.
Clothing and Accessories: His outfit combines elegance with references to Liyue culture. The basic outfit includes a beige shirt, a brown vest with amber accents, slim black trousers, black shoes, and gloves with gold thumb rings. Around his neck is a white tie, pinned at the throat with an amber stone.
Tailcoat: Long, dark brown, with dragon scale patterns, gold and silver accents, gold tassels, and Rex Lapis's diamond symbol on the back.

Zhong Li's image is a combination of a scientist's calm, elegance and a certain mystical power, which perfectly reflects his essence as the former Geo-Archon Morax.

As Geo Archon (Morax), he ruled the region for millennia, shaping its landscape (for example, the Guyun Stone Forest was formed from the stone spears he used to seal an enemy) and protecting the people. Later, he decided to live among mortals: he faked his death to test whether the people of Liyue could survive independently. He even made a secret deal with Fatui to achieve this.

Li Yue (Chinese: 璃月, Líyuè, "Glass Moon" or "Jade Moon") is one of the seven regions of the world of Teyvat. Its design and culture are inspired by real-life Chinese culture.

Despite his status as a god and the creator of mora, Zhong Li can sometimes be reckless in financial matters. He can agree to a major deal without mora, or accept an obvious scam as a given. This is because, possessing the Heart of God (which allows him to create an infinite supply of mora), he never faced a shortage of money. However, when he chose to live among mortals, he lacked the foresight to figure out how to organize their minting of mora without a divine artifact.

Liyue is located in the eastern part of Teyvat. The landscape is varied, featuring rugged mountains, stone forests, vast plains, and vibrant coastlines. Notable locations include Bishui Valley, the Sea of ​​Clouds, Lisha Outskirts, the Qiongzi River Estuary, the Jade Forest, and the more recent expansions: the Rift (with its underground mines) and Chenyu Valley.
The region's architecture is reminiscent of ancient China: buildings with flowing roofs, warm color schemes, and decorative details. Li Yue's designs feature references to real-world locations, such as the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, the Huanglong area, the landscapes of Guilin, and the ancient city of Fenghuang.
Li Yue cuisine is divided into two main styles: Li, with rich, vibrant flavors from mountain ingredients, and Yue, with lighter seafood dishes. These styles have long competed.
The region's language uses a script reminiscent of Chinese knotted script (bopomofo), and is found on signs and in some character skill animations.

Liyue is considered the most ancient nation in Teyvat's history. Around 3,700 years ago, Geo Archon Morax (also known as the Lord of Stone or the God of Contracts) founded Liyue Harbor near Mount Tianheng and entered into a pact with the Disciples to protect the territory.
During the Archon War, approximately 2,500 years ago, the Guili Valley was devastated. After the war, Morax led the surviving people to Liyue.
Day-to-day affairs are managed by the Qixing, a powerful group that controls trade, while the inhabitants are protected by the Millelita warriors.
