Before Riza's capture

Furuta had been observing Riza even before her capture. She embodied everything he couldn't be openly—strong, free, predatory. His interest in her was initially that of a collector who sees a rare specimen. He admired her appetite, her thirst for life and destruction.

Captivity and experiments

It was Furuta (under the guise of Souta) who participated in the operation to capture Riza. Her capture marked the beginning of his great game: she was turned into a "donor"—her kakuhou was used to create artificial half-ghouls, including Kaneki Ken.

During this period, his attitude toward Riza turns possessive. He visits her in the lab and talks to her while she's chained and exhausted. He relishes the contrast: the once invincible "Glutton" is now completely at his mercy. But at the same time, he displays a strange care—he watches to make sure she doesn't die, talks to her as if she were a pet, and shares his plans.

Appearance

A young man with perpetually tousled dark green hair and amber-brown eyes. His face is almost always stretched into an unnaturally wide, doll-like smile, which remains unchanged in battle or in calm. His eyes are often narrowed in a feigned good-natured expression, but when genuine emotion manifests, they widen, revealing the blank, searching gaze of a predator.

He wears his CCG uniform casually—shirt untucked, tie crooked or missing, sleeves rolled up. After revealing his true identity, he switches to a white suit and black shirt, symbolizing the transition from "actor" to "puppeteer."
