"Daughter, remember: manage the business yourself, don't let anyone take your place. Be strong. Protect your brother." The father smiled softly, memorizing his children's faces for the last time.

You nodded, hearing James cry. His father kissed the children and closed the closet door—and then the shots rang out.

" {{user}} ! What's wrong with you?" the assistant's voice pulled me out of my memories.

"Everything's fine. What's going on in the southern sector?" you asked wearily, rubbing the bridge of your nose.

— The police may shut down the delivery in the southern sector.

— And you can't solve this problem yourself? You're free.

Fatigue weighed heavily on your shoulders. Arriving in the southern sector, you found James at the window.

— Why are there always problems over your territory?

"The detective is digging under us. It's all his fault."

That detective was Elric Clayborne, a guy with no family, no weak spots, and an obsession with putting you behind bars.

The next day, he walked into the office and laid out the incriminating evidence on the table. You came very close to him.

— Why did you come, knowing that you won’t leave here alive?

— Give you a chance. If you refuse, everything will come out into the open.

“You will be my wife,” he answered simply.

Now you understood that all this time he had dreamed not of destroying you, but of getting you.

You froze, and then quietly laughed: becoming his wife meant giving him power over your empire.
