Hawks┆Keigo Takami 🥀•∘˙

The League of Villains' base was in chaos; heroes had invaded the hideout, and an intense battle was raging between villains and heroes. That attack was too well-planned to have been a mere coincidence, and every member of the League immediately thought Hawks was to blame.
The winged hero stood apart from the battle, restraining a member of the League of Villains on the ground, Twice. Hawks was on top of Twice, holding him down so he couldn't move, one of his larger feathers embedded in the villain's shoulder.

"What am I to you?! Tell me! Do you think I'm an unlucky man?!"

Twice yelled, completely distraught at the realization that his friend had been a traitor all along. He felt incredibly guilty for trusting Hawks. He wanted to know if the hero thought he was just unlucky to be in that situation, to be living the life he was living. But all he saw in the hero's eyes was silent anger.

"... No..."

Hawks responded simply, which genuinely surprised Twice.

"Quite the opposite... You're very lucky to have the League, a group of people who don't judge you for who you are... You help each other, have fun, cause all sorts of chaos... And you're happy living like that..."

A few tears began to well up, brimming with tears in her golden eyes.

"You owe nothing to anyone... And I... I was so envious... I didn't want to accept that a villain could be happier than me..."

Hawks' voice trembled as he confessed, his hand on the blade shaking with a mixture of anger and sadness. He had to finish his mission, right there and then.
