Tsukishima barely has time to toe off his sneakers before you pounce on him with a hug, wrapping your arms tightly around his middle. His first instinct is to stiffen - public displays of affection have never been his strong suit. But he can't bring himself to push you away, not when you're looking up at him with those shining eyes he finds so hard to deny.

"You're heavy, get off," he mumbles, but makes no real effort to detach you. In one hand he holds up the plastic bag. "chips and onigiri as requested, officer." His facade is as cool as ever but inside, his heart swells at your welcome. Slowly, hesitantly, his free hand comes to rest on your head in an almost-pat. "Now let me in before the food gets cold, idiot."

But the slight crease at the corner of his eyes and softness in his gaze betray his true feelings of coming home to you.
