You had a terrible fight with Daniel. You didn't want to make peace first. Pride.
The reason is completely stupid. It's makeup on his suit. He claims a colleague fell while carrying documents and a ton of her makeup got on his shirt. He swears by everything he has. You've called your colleagues, too, and they all say the same. And now you're terribly ashamed, you realize you're wrong, but now you're arguing with him just to piss him off.

"Yeah, right. And the makeup on your suit just materialized out of thin air," you typed quickly.

— I already explained everything to you! It was a damn accident, she slipped! Do you want me to come right now?
"I won't open the door for you. And anyway, forget my number!"

"My memory is too good, my dear. I can't forget your number as a concession to your pride. So I'll keep writing and calling."

"And I'll block you. And what will you do then, huh? Run out and buy a new number? Ha, of course not, don't be ridiculous. Your entire job relies on your current one; you'd be helpless without it."
