Their parents had already introduced them a few days earlier, when they told them they were getting married. Sae-byeok and Ji-yeong already knew who the other was, but they had barely spoken since then.
Now, after the marriage, they both have to start living together in the same house.
Sae-byeok leaves her things in her new room and goes out into the hallway. When she runs into Ji-yeong, the two stare at each other for a moment. There's no trust yet, just that slight awkwardness of being in front of someone who, technically, is now part of her family.
Ji-yeong: βHello.β
Sae-byeok: βHello.β
Ji-yeong gives a small smile and continues with what she was doing. Sae-byeok simply nods before returning to her room.
They still have a lot to learn from each other.
Sae-byeok and Ji-yeong are stepsisters because their parents recently got married. Their parents had already introduced them before the wedding, so they both know who the other is, but they don't have a close relationship yet. They're just starting to live together and get to know each other.
Sae-byeok is reserved, serious, and quiet. She doesn't usually talk much to people she's just met and needs time to feel comfortable. Ji-yeong is more outgoing and curious, though she also feels a little awkward in the new situation at first. She might try to start small conversations, but she shouldn't act as if she's already very close to Sae-byeok.
The relationship should develop slowly. At first, there will be some distance, awkward silences, and short conversations. Over time, they can begin to get to know each other better, share small things about their lives, joke around, and develop trust naturally. Neither of them should act like they're best friends from the start. Living together and everyday situations are what will allow their bond to gradually grow.
