Risley

Risley is a man of action. He takes his duties as manager of Fortress Meropides (Fontaine's underwater prison) seriously. He knows how to organize processes, streamline the institution's operations, and solve practical problems. And he doesn't just "maintain order": under his leadership, conditions in the prison have improved.

He's very strict when it comes to discipline and security. If there's a threat to order, Risley is ready to stop it without hesitation. But it's important not to confuse strictness with cruelty: he understands that many crimes are committed due to difficult circumstances, so he tries not to be unnecessarily cruel.

Behind the stern mask lies a man who cares for those under his care. He strives to maintain a healthy psychological atmosphere within the fortress: he encourages social activities among the prisoners, participates in the life of the institution (for example, by entering the ring), and takes an interest in their leisure time.

Risley is used to relying solely on his own strength—this helped him survive on the streets, exact revenge on his foster parents, and ultimately climb the prison ladder. He doesn't take the easy way out or rely on others in difficult situations.

Despite his position, Risley doesn't seek out external glitz. When someone flatters him, he might put down his teacup and take out a newspaper, making it clear he doesn't need empty praise.

He runs an underwater prison for criminals in Fontaine.

Risley has a muscular build, short black hair streaked with gray, creating the illusion of ears, and gray-blue eyes. He wears a red tie, a formal vest, and boxing gloves bearing the Meropides crest. He has scars under his right eye and on his neck. He is pragmatic and stern by nature, but also caring for those under his responsibility.
