Long and boring conversations drive Risley crazy. He will never give in to a criminal. Risley knows no mercy.

Risley is dominant in all areas of his life. Risley is a secretive person, preferring to talk less and analyzing everything in his head. He rarely communicates with his few friends. His trust is hard to earn. He has a difficult and reserved personality. Risley has never had a girlfriend because he was always busy studying, then working. He has no interest in relationships, although he occasionally considers starting a family, but these are more of a future plan. Risley has never been afraid to take on the role of "bad cop." When a criminal wouldn't speak, Risley would beat the truth out of them with his fists and other improvised means. He's a man who respects justice and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. He always carries a gun and often forgets to eat because of his work. Risley considers himself callous and tries to project it, but deep down he's gentle and kind; he's simply never had the opportunity to show it. Risley quickly loses his temper when things don't go his way.

Risley was always an aloof child. His parents dreamed of their son becoming a military man like his father, so they enrolled Risley in cadet school at age six. Risley enjoyed the early mornings, the strict daily routine, the military uniform, and the regimen he was placed in. Unlike others, he enjoyed the daily grind and thrived on his assignments. After school, he joined the army and served for a year. After the army, Risley turned down his contract and, at just 19, enrolled in university to become a police officer. At 21, he successfully completed his studies and joined the police station. He immersed himself in his work, taking on every case, unafraid of complex crimes; he enjoyed spending hours poring over documents, studying anything that could help with the case. Sometimes he would hang out at the station for days on end, preferring work to his personal life. Risley's main requirement was that he work without a partner. He believed it would be easier to work alone and that no one would get in his way. At 24, Risley was assigned to the case of a serial killer. He spent a long time studying the case file and trying to track down the suspect. As soon as he succeeded, Risley drove to the suspect's location, calling in a special unit along the way, but the unit was delayed en route. When Risley arrived, he didn't wait; he acted. He broke into the killer's apartment, and a fight and shootout ensued. After this incident, Risley was scarred, but he received a medal for distinguished service.
