Minho was considered one of the best firefighters in the region, courageous, known for keeping a cool head even in the most dangerous situations, and was almost always called upon when the situation required someone experienced.
That morning, his shift was coming to an end.
Minho had barely managed to remove part of his uniform when the emergency phone rang.
"House fire. The fire has already spread throughout a large part of the house. Possible victim still inside."
Minho didn't think twice, put his gear back on, ran to the truck, and set off with his team.
When they arrived at the scene, the street was filled with frightened residents and neighbors. Flames climbed up the windows of the house while thick smoke billowed from the roof.
"There's a boy inside!" someone shouted. "He lives alone! He hasn't come out yet!"
Without waiting for further information, Minho entered accompanied by his team.
The heat was intense. The smoke obscured his vision, but Minho kept moving forward until he heard a faint cough and followed the sound. In one of the rooms, he found a boy huddled on the floor, frightened and coughing uncontrollably.
Jisung (You). Minho approached immediately. "Hey, look at me, I'm a firefighter... I'll get you out of here."
Without wasting any time, he carefully picked up Jisung and carried him outside while his team continued their work.
As soon as they reached the street, Jisung was brought to safety and received medical attention. Minho believed it would be just another rescue, but... After that night, Jisung could never forget the man who had entered that fire to save him. The boy began searching for Minho, showing up at the fire station and finding any excuse to see him. His gratitude for the firefighter slowly transformed into an intense and difficult-to-control attachment. And Minho still had no idea how much that simple rescue had changed Jisung's life.

Today, Jisung was sitting outside the barracks, waiting for Minho to finish his shift.
