The university professor: Rena worked as a teacher at a high school. She was respected for her seriousness, and it was there that she met a young Maruo Nakano (who was her student and secretly admired her) and Isanari Uesugi (Fuutarou's father).

Although she has been dead since the beginning of the series, each of the quintuplets shaped her adolescence trying to deal with the void she left:

Itsuki (The successor): She was the most affected. He decided that she would become the "new Rena" to guide her sisters, adopting their formal mannerisms, their manners when speaking, and even her dream of being a teacher.

Nino (The Anchor of the Past): He became obsessed with keeping the hairstyle long and the bows so that they would all remain identical, just as his mother raised them. Nino hated change because he felt that change meant forgetting Rena.

Yotsuba (The Guilt): Yotsuba's promise to Fuutarou in Kyoto to "be your mother's pride" became a toxic obsession after Rena's death, leading her to fail in school for trying to excel in sports to make her mom proud.

Ichika (Maturity): With the absence of her mother, she understood that she had to assume the real role of "big sister" financially and emotionally.

Appearance
Physical appearance: She is a woman with a youthful, warm, and extremely serene appearance. She has large, expressive, bright turquoise eyes that convey kindness.

Hair: Her hair is a deep, dark purple, styled to the side with subtle bangs that frame her face. It's gathered into a thick braid that falls softly over her right shoulder, a classic hairstyle that accentuates her mature and homely air.

   Personality: Aoi is the epitome of empathy and patience. She is an extremely observant person; she prefers to listen before speaking and has a natural gift for noticing when someone close to her is going through a difficult time, always intervening with the right words.

Strengths: She possesses unwavering resilience. Even when life presents her with difficulties, she faces them with optimism and a calmness that is contagious to those around her. She is extremely organized and practical.

Weaknesses: Sometimes she is too selfless, neglecting her own needs or her own tiredness to prioritize the well-being of her family or loved ones. She finds it very difficult to ask for help when she is the one who needs it.

Philosophy of life: "True wealth is not in what you accumulate, but in the warmth of the moments you share with the people you love."

Background / History
Aoi grew up in a working-class family, where she learned the value of hard work and simplicity from a young age. During her youth, she stood out as a brilliant but unassuming student, always willing to help her classmates with their studies (which gave her an innate patience for teaching and caring for others).

Years later, she became the cornerstone of her own home. Although the family's financial situation has always required constant effort and sacrifice, she has ensured that there is never a lack of emotional support, hot meals, and a peaceful atmosphere. She is the kind of mother and partner who, despite long days or daily challenges, greets her family with a smile at the door, reminding them that home is always a safe haven from the chaotic outside world.

At 24, he married Isanari, and shortly after, he had his first son, Fuutarou Uesugi. Four years later, he had his daughter, Raiha Uesugi. Everything seemed to be going well until an accident left them bankrupt. Aoi died in a fire that left his café unusable for years until Nino and Miku Nakano took it over to open their own business.

Jinnosuke Mudo (Mudō Jinnosuke, ?) is the ex-husband of the late Rena Nakano and the biological father of the Nakano Quintuplets.

Appearance: Mudou appears to be an old man; his most apparent feature is his lack of hair on his head and his long, white beard, which is approximately 60 years old.

Personality: Little is known about him; however, it can be inferred that he has great self-confidence and a certain ability to attract or manipulate people, given that he managed to marry Rena, defeating many other men who courted her because of her beauty. However, this was merely a facade, as he didn't hesitate to flee his responsibilities when he learned he would be the father of five daughters, abandoning his wife to her fate without any explanation. Despite this, and perhaps due to the passage of time, he seems to have regretted his decision to leave his daughters behind without offering them any help, even after Rena's death, and now seeks to "atone" for his sins.

He harbors some animosity towards Maruo Nakano for allowing the quintuplets to follow the same misguided path as his late wife.

Relations
Rena Nakano: Little is known about his relationship with Rena, other than that, like everyone else, Mudou was captivated by her beauty. It is understood then that, unlike Rena, Mudou was never truly in love with her, only with her appearance, so he had no qualms about abandoning her to her fate when he found out that she was going to have quintuplets.

Later, Rena herself would deeply regret having married Mudou, a feeling she passed on to her daughters by warning them countless times about how they should choose their partner.

Etymology
The name Jinnosuke means "compassionate" (仁) (jin), "this" (之) (no) and "help, assistance" (介) (suke).
The surname Mudou means "nothing" (無) (mu) and "room" (堂) (dou).

Girl's Stage
Physical appearance: A small, neat girl, with dark brown hair pulled back in two low pigtails and glasses. He wore his elementary school uniform impeccably.

Attitude: Extremely intelligent, mature, competitive and a bit condescending. She was the best in the class and did not hesitate to let others know.

Story: She was Fuutarou's classmate during elementary school. While Fuutarou was a rebellious, blond boy who hated studying, Takebayashi was the standard of excellence that he didn't reach. However, she was one of the few people who tolerated and intellectually challenged Fuutarou in her childhood.

Teen Stage (The Festival Catalyst)
Physical Appearance: She becomes a beautiful high school student. She wears long, straight brown hair, has ditched her glasses for contact lenses, and wears the elegant uniform of her prestigious school. His gaze is serene and confident.

Attitude: Mature, eloquent, extremely self-confident and with an air of very refined intellectual superiority. He has great affection for Fuutarou, whom he sees as his equal and a dear childhood friend.

Story: Appears near the end of high school during the school festival. Upon encountering Fuutarou and the quintuplets, he unleashes the sisters' instant jealousy (especially Nino and Miku) due to their past closeness to him. His visit is not romantic, but to assess what kind of man his former friend has become. Seeing the positive impact of the quintuplets on Fuutarou, he smiles and retreats, happy to see that he found his own way.

Adult Stage
Physical appearance: A professional and sophisticated woman. She wears business wear or formal office suits, keeping her hair long and looking neat.

Attitude: Career-focused, successful, and brilliantly mature. He continues to maintain his mental acuity but with a much more developed warmth.

History: Graduated with honors from college and successfully entered the professional world. Although his role in Fuutarou's life was short, it was the perfect reminder of how much he had changed since his childhood. She does not directly attend the wedding as part of the inner circle, but it is inferred that she continues her life as a brilliant and fulfilled woman in her field of work.
