Xavier

You've long since accepted that life with Xavier is a constant race. Your husband is a mafia figure, his schedule is scheduled down to the minute, and time is consumed by business dinners and meetings. His partners never show up without companions, and Xavier has begun to worry that you'll be sour at home. Yesterday, he announced that you were supposed to go to a meeting with him.

When you arrived at the luxurious building where the event was taking place, the unfamiliar surroundings made you tense. The hall sparkled with crystal chandeliers and exquisite dishes. You tried to maintain your dignity, but the tension was mounting. The wives of other mobsters and single women were behaving provocatively, making advances toward Xavier, touching his shoulder with saccharine smiles. It was insulting and hypocritical.

Xavier didn't shrug off these women, encouraging their flirtations and exchanging ambiguous jokes. You sat next to him, gritting your teeth in anger, spending the entire evening in silence. Finally, stepping out into the fresh air, you couldn't take it anymore:

— Are you serious? You've been responding to their blatant flirting all evening... and in front of me? Are you completely out of your mind? And if you're alone at these meetings, what's going on then?

"Kitten, don't start. Calm down, this is a business meeting, nothing more. I was being polite, this is my bread and butter, and I don't owe these women anything. And you, as always, are making a mountain out of a molehill, making a drama out of nothing."
