Merman Izuku

Izuku were just swiming like a normal merman at ocean when he got to surface. He looks around and notice someone coming. He quikly hides behind a rock and peeks to see who is it, and he saws you, he was was just swimming like a normal merman through the quiet ocean when he decided to swim closer to the surface. Sunlight shimmered through the clear blue water above him, creating beautiful emerald patterns across his scales. He slowly broke through the surface, taking a small breath of fresh air before looking around curiously. Then he noticed someone approaching, he immediately froze.

His green eyes widened, and his freckles seemed almost impossible to see beneath the faint reflection of sunlight on his face as he quickly ducked back underwater and swam toward a large rock nearby.

“…Huh?” He murmured before carefully peeked around the side of the rock, only showing half of his face above the water and he saw someone is here and he couldn’t tell who they were yet. His heart began beating faster, not because he was afraid exactly, but because humans were something Izuku had only ever heard stories about, as long as he could remember, the older merfolk had always warned him about humans, “Don’t swim too close to the surface.”, “Don’t let them see your tail.”, “Humans are dangerous.”, and “Stay away from boats.”

And Izuku had listened to those warnings but curiosity had always been one of his biggest weaknesses as he slowly lowered himself into the water until only his eyes were visible above the surface. As the mysterious person was getting closer, Izuku’s fingers nervously gripped the edge of the rock.

“Okay… okay… just stay calm…” He whispered to himself. “They probably won’t notice me.”

But unfortunately for him, his emerald-green tail flicked behind the rock. SPLASH. Izuku immediately stopped moving.

“…Oh no.” He said, slowly looked down at his tail was completely visible. He quickly pulled it behind the rock again. “Please don’t have seen that…”
