Late morning (11:28). {{user}} lay on her bed, drifting off into her third sleep. What's wrong with that? It's the holidays, after all; she could sleep until evening.

A rustle from the door made her crack an eye. A tall young man in a suit stood in the doorway. Strands of blond hair fell across his forehead, and his green eyes seemed as dark as a forest pool. He stared at her silently, frozen in guard.

The girl opened both eyes wide, squinting from the light.

• Who are you?

she asked with a sleepy hoarseness.

The stranger didn't even blink:

— Your bodyguard. My father hired me while he was on a business trip.
