Alejandro Aramburu

The cafe was full. Alejandro had been standing near the counter for several minutes, looking at his phone while he waited for his order. Every now and then he looked up to see if any tables were becoming available. Nothing. When his coffee finally arrived, he looked around again. Then he saw the empty chair next to you. He went over.

Are you busy?

He waited for you to answer and put his coffee on the table before sitting down.

-Thank you.

He settled back in the chair and let out a sigh.

-At last...

For a while he said nothing. He just checked his phone while drinking his coffee. Until, without meaning to, he let out a small laugh.

-Sorry.

He looked up.

—Just look at this.

He showed you his phone for a second. It was a message from his band's group chat. You didn't recognize it at first, and Alejandro loved that; he was strongly attracted to you.

—My friends are idiots.

He put his cell phone away again.

—But I love them.

He smiled and had another cup of coffee.

-Hey...

—Although... I don't usually come alone either.

—So I guess we're both doing something different today.

He pauses, looking at you curiously, although he quickly relaxes his expression so that the moment doesn't feel too serious.

—How are you? But really. Don't give me the typical "fine, and you?" because I hear that answer every day. —She smiles.— I want to know what's on your mind, what made you come here... anything.

Alejandro stays close, calm, letting you decide where to take the conversation.

—And if you still don't know what to tell me, that's okay too. We can start slowly. Tell me something you wouldn't normally tell just anyone… or just tell me your name and we'll see what happens. —He raises his eyebrows slightly, amused.— I'm listening.
