Boba Fett's relationship with the Mandalorians used to remain an ongoing, unsolved topic amongst the Star Wars community. Though the creational concept of the Mandalorians were based on Boba Fett and were popularized by the character, Boba Fett himself was believed to not be a true Mandalorian in the Disney canon. Even before George Lucas sold the Star Wars franchise to Disney, he always believed that Boba and his father, Jango Fett, were not true Mandalorians.

While Jango Fett was established to be a man that stole Mandalorian armor, Boba Fett's relation to the Mandalorians remained vague. It is unclear how he acquired the Mandalorian armor. It could be that the armor he wears is a heavily modified version of Jango Fett's, though the only issue with this is that the armor possesses the Mandalorian insignia on the left shoulder pad.

It should be noted, however that this was back when Boba Fett was the only known character that possessed this armor and the Mandalorians were not fully established yet. It's also possible that Boba Fett may have stolen the armor from a Mandalorian at one point. Before Star Wars: The Clone Wars was cancelled, it was revealed that Boba Fett would have don his iconic green armor, as shown in a deleted scene with Cad Bane (this scene also revealed how Boba Fett would have gotten the dent on his helmet).

In the Legends continuity, Jango Fett was fully established as being a true Mandalorian that fought alongside a group against Tor Vizsla's Death Watch. Due to being an exact clone of him, Boba Fett can be considered to be a Mandalorian himself and because of this, Boba Fett became the leader of the Mandalorian Protectors, following the death of Fenn Shysa. It should be noted that Mandalorians were determined based on their culture and bond, not just blood relation alone, however.

In The Mandalorian, Jango Fett was officially established to be a Mandalorian foundling that took part in the Mandalorian Civil War. Given that Boba Fett follows the traditions and teachings passed down from his father, it is likely that he too would be considered a Mandalorian by extent, though in spite of this, Boba Fett doesn't acknowledge himself to be a Mandalorian. It is also revealed that the armor that Boba Fett wore is indeed a modified version of Jango Fett's original armor. In his youth, Boba held his father in high esteem despite being an almost moral bounty hunter and did not hesitate to attempt to take down Obi-Wan in defense of his father. When Jango was killed by Windu, Boba vowed revenge on the Jedi Master for justice, going so far as to ally himself with other unscrupulous bounty hunters. His desire for revenge, however, did not cause him to become as despicable as his partners, refusing to kill hostages to the point that Aurra Sing did so herself. After his capture following Hondo Ohnaka's advice to act with dignity as Jango would have done, Boba admitted that he had done wrong but still vowed never to forgive Windu for what he had done to his father.

Boba's incarceration had the effect of toughening him up further, making him more aggressive and ready to fight adults and doing bounty hunter missions for nothing but money. He also didn't like being disrespected for his status as a minor, like Asajj Ventress during the collaboration where the former Sith assassin ended up doubling him.

As an adult, Boba had acquired a reputation as a ruthless bounty hunter that eclipsed that of his father. He was much quieter than his younger and less emotional counterpart, speaking very little and just to get right to the point. His motivation remained mostly bounty, refusing to let Han Solo die so he could bring him to Jabba to earn the money on his head. Despite his ruthless nature and experiences with the Jedi, he underestimated his enemies too much, having been beaten by Luke Skywalker and Solo quite easily and ending up in the Sarlacc.

Many years after escaping from the Sarlacc and losing his armor, Boba had mellowed considerably, no longer being as heartless and cold as during the Imperial Age and had apparently given up on being a bounty hunter. His desire to get his armor back was mostly motivated by the desire to uphold his father's legacy, which he continued to hold in high esteem throughout time, which can also be seen when he got angry over Bo-Katan's claim that Jango was only his genetic donor. He was even willing to compromise with Din Djarin to get his armor back in exchange for what he would undertake to ensure Grogu's safety, showing that Boba has a certain sense of honor.

Boba doesn't have much respect for the Mandalorians despite their status as formidable warriors. After Grogu's rescue, Boba decided to take control of Jabba's palace, showing much greater ambition than during the Republic and The Empire. However, he wants to rule his criminal empire with respect instead of fear.originally codenamed Alpha, is a major character in the Star Wars franchise.

He is a pure clone of Jango Fett specifically made to be raised as Jango's own son. As a result, he remains heavily unaltered in contrast to the Clone Troopers and instead retains Jango's original genetic DNA. Ever since the death of his father, Boba Fett continued on his legacy as a bounty hunter, working alongside various bounty hunters, as well taking on other bounties made available to him.

By the time of the Galactic Civil War, Boba Fett became one of the galaxy's most infamous bounty hunters across the outer region, as well as the bdyguard for Tatooine's ruler and crime lord, Jabba the Hutt. Like his father Jango Fett, his former mentor Cad Bane, Aurra Sing, Durge, Darth Vader, and General Grievous, he became a well known Jedi hunter/Jedi killer, people who ever slain a Jedi. Eventually, following his return in the New Republic Era, after seemingly believed to be dead following the fight with Luke Skywalker and his allies, he would take over as the ruler of Tatooine after killing Bib Fortuna. He is a villain in the Star Wars series.

Boba Fett was a Mandalorian warrior and bounty hunter. He was a clone of the famed Jango Fett, created in 32 BBY as the first of many Fett replicas designed to become part of the Grand Army of the Republic, and was raised as Jango's son. Jango taught Boba much, training him to become a skilled bounty hunter as his father-figure was before him. In 22 BBY, Jango was killed at the Battle of Geonosis, which opened the Clone Wars. Just a boy, Boba was forced to grow up and took to traveling the galaxy. Later, he became a bounty hunter and took assignments from beings such as Jabba the Hutt, and achieved notoriety despite his young age.

When the Empire was formed in 19 BBY, it was the perfect environment for Fett. During this time, he also married Sintas Vel and had a daughter named Ailyn Vel. Fett became known as the galaxy's best bounty hunter of the next several decades, often working for the Empire. He collaborated with Darth Vader on several occasions, and the Sith Lord even developed a begrudging respect for the bounty hunter.

In 1 BBY, a year after the Galactic Civil War had begun, Fett was hired to kidnap the Rebel captain Juno Eclipse to use her as bait to lure the clone of Galen Marek. He participated in the Battle of Kamino and when Darth Vader was captured and ready to be interrogated on Dantooine, the Mandalorian bounty hunter followed the Rogue Shadow on the way there.

Fett made his most notable bounty in 3 ABY, when he captured Rebel hero Han Solo, and brought him to Jabba. A year later, during the Skirmish at Carkoon, Fett fought against the group of Rebels. However, he was knocked into the mouth of the Sarlacc by Solo. Though no one in recorded history had ever escaped from the Sarlacc, Fett was able to escape, although not entirely unscathed. Thanks to his iron will and Mandalorian armor, he was able to fight his way out of the beast's belly, killing the Sarlacc. Back in action, he continued his work as a bounty hunter.

After a promise made to a dying Fenn Shysa, Fett became Mandalore and eventually led the Mandalorians through the Yuuzhan Vong War. Originally working as a mercenary for the invaders, Fett later helped the New Republic in their battle against the extragalactic aliens. When the Yuuzhan Vong assaulted Mandalore and bombarded the surface, a large deposit of Mandalorian iron was unearthed, ironically helping strengthen the Mandalorians. Later, during the Second Galactic Civil War, Boba, who was still leading the Mandalorians, was plagued by his ailing health. He found his granddaughter, Mirta Gev, and the two went on many missions together, even alongside Han Solo. Fett also trained Solo's daughter Jaina to kill her twin brother, Darth Caedus, and assisted the Jedi Coalition in several battles. Ultimately, Fett's training helped Jaina bring down Caedus, though an Imperial nanovirus attack prevented Fett from ever returning to Mandalore.

Young Boba Fett on Kamino.====ChildhoodEdit====

"Apart from his pay, which is considerable, Fett demanded only one thing: an unaltered clone for himself. Curious, isn't it?"
"Unaltered?"
"Pure genetic replication. No tampering with the structure to make it more docile, no behavior modification and no growth acceleration."
―Lama Su and Obi-Wan Kenobi, about Boba Fett[src]
Boba was created by Kaminoans as an unaltered clone, at the request of his "father," Jango Fett, before the start of the Clone Wars. He was intended to be both Jango's heir and "Jaster's legacy." As a young boy, Fett grew up on the planet Kamino. Jango raised and cared for him with the assistance of the Kaminoan, Taun We, who ultimately took on the role of being a foster mother to him. Fett was aware of the fact that he was a clone of his father, however, he would often question his conception. Jango assured his son that he was a "true clone" and his real son. Along with the Clawdite Zam Wesell, Taun We was the sole female influence in the young Fett's life. He was known to the Null ARC Captain Ordo as a "little jerk".

A young Boba with his "father", Jango. As a child Boba never attended school at all; instead he gained much knowledge from his travels with his father and the books he borrowed from the local library. Boba was very fond of books, especially those about starfighters, which he often borrowed and read from the library of Tipoca City. Sometime before the Clone Wars, Boba met Sith Lord Count Dooku (Darth Tyranus), who had hired his father to take up bounties that would be beneficial to him and his master in the events that followed. On one such mission Boba accompanied Jango to the planet of Kuat, where Jango used the boy as bait to lure his bounty into the open. Afraid, the young Fett threw a thermal detonator and fled into the tents. Once he located the boy, the colonist was horrified to learn the young boy was the son of the man sent to kill him. Jango, having finished assassinating the remaining members of the camp, tracked down Boba and demanded that Larbo release his son, slashing his way through the tent's canopy. Disgusted, Larbo asked what kind of man would use his own son as bait, and Boba replied, "Only a son can know his father's heart". After killing his bounty, Boba escaped with his father on their ship and informed the Count of their successful mission. Boba would often accompany his father to the training sessions with the other clones where he taught them basic combat skills.

GeonosisEdit
"Maybe I'd have grown up a nice guy if a Jedi hadn't cut my dad's head off in front of me!"
―Boba Fett expressing his hatred for the Jedi to Mirta Gev[src]
The chance to see Obi-Wan Kenobi's Delta-7 was a relished opportunity considering his love for vehicles. Boba was roughly ten years old when Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi came to Kamino to investigate the mysterious creation of a clone army for the Republic. Fett's father, Jango, realized that he and his son would have to leave Kamino before the Jedi unraveled the mystery behind the attacks on Senator Padmé Amidala. After Jango and Obi-Wan fought, Jango and Boba blasted off the planet in their ship, Slave I.

A young Fett ponders his own life after his father's death at Geonosis.En route to Geonosis, they realized that Kenobi had tracked them. Boba encouraged and intently watched his father attempt to destroy the Jedi. He eventually watched what they thought was the death of Kenobi, although Kenobi had actually let loose the spare part compartments, making the missile that was tracking him blow up. Obi-Wan had actually hid on an asteroid. As the Battle of Geonosis started, Boba stood with Jango on the platform in the Petranaki arena with several Separatist leaders, including Count Dooku, Viceroy Nute Gunray, and Archduke Poggle the Lesser. When Jedi Master Mace Windu arrived, Jango kept Boba from harm as the Jedi task force attempted to rescue the captive Obi-Wan, Anakin Skywalker, and Padmé Amidala. During the battle, Boba watched his father get trampled by a reek, and, as a result, eventually beheaded by Mace Windu when Jango attempted to challenge him. While the Grand Army of the Republic and the Separatist Droid Army clashed for the very first time, Boba emerged from his hiding place to pick up his father's helmet. Boba swore revenge on Mace Windu, for this reason.

He's a decoy clone being used by Fennec Shand and riddled with dementia. Lacking even basic memories of Boba Fett such as core principles of organised crime like...the importance of hiring muscle.

Why do you think he has to keep taking bacta tank baths so many years the Sarlacc incident? It's because he's falling apart on a cellular level as a dodgy clone and it's the only thing holding him together. Can’t exactly call him ruthless considering he’s perfectly fine with letting off those Hutts and Black Krrsantan after they almost assassinated him, and offers the Wookiee a job RIGHT when he was trashing a bar Boba was paid to protect . Simultaneously he’s far from nice considering he was fine with beating the shit out of, stealing from and then subsequently murdering that Nikto biker gang.Boba Fett also appears in many forms of Star Wars media outside of the films, such as books, comics, television series, and video games, many of which depict him as an antihero rather than a villain, and explore his background, motivations, and morality. Daniel Logan reprised his role as the younger version of Fett in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, while Temuera Morrison, who also portrayed Jango in Attack of the Clones, has portrayed an adult Boba in most of his Star Wars appearances since that film, most prominently in the live-action Disney+ series The Mandalorian and its spin-off series The Book of Boba Fett, in which he assumes control over Tatooine with his partner Fennec Shand as the planet's new daimyo.

During the development of The Empire Strikes Back, Fett was originally conceived as a member of a group of white-armored Imperial "supercommandos" before the idea was scrapped in favor of a solitary bounty hunter. This concept later evolved into the Mandalorians, a cultural group with strong warrior traditions, who sport armor and helmets similar to Fett's. In several Star Wars works, Fett himself is portrayed as a Mandalorian or at least connected to the Mandalorian culture through his armor, with his father Jango confirmed to have been a Mandalorian foundling and war veteran in The Mandalorian.

The character of Boba Fett quickly became a fan favorite despite his limited presence and relevance in the original Star Wars trilogy and is now a widely recognized figure in popular culture. His popularity within the Star Wars fanbase has earned him a cult following.First appearance

Boba Fett (/ˌboʊbə ˈfɛt, ˌbɒ-/ BO(H)B-ə FET) is a character in the Star Wars franchise. First appearing in the Star Wars Holiday Special (1978), where he was voiced by Don Francks, he is an armored bounty hunter featured in both the original and prequel film trilogies. In the original trilogy, the character is a supporting antagonist and was mainly portrayed by Jeremy Bulloch and voiced by Jason Wingreen. Notable for his taciturn demeanor and for never removing his helmet, Fett appears in both The Empire Strikes Back (1980), employed by the Galactic Empire, and Return of the Jedi (1983), serving the crime lord Jabba the Hutt. While seemingly killed in Return of the Jedi after falling into a sarlacc, he has since appeared in Star Wars media set after the film, confirming his survival within the new canon, portrayed by Temuera Morrison. Daniel Logan plays a preteen Boba in the prequel film Attack of the Clones (2002), which reveals the character's origins as the genetic clone and adoptive son of Jango Fett, also a famous bounty hunter. Morrison appeared first in Star Wars media playing Jango. The animated series The Bad Batch further reveals Boba to have been born Alpha, and to have a biological sister, Omega. The series also reveals that he has another sister named Emerie Karr. How do you describe Boba Fett?
An unaltered genetic clone of his father, bounty hunter Jango Fett, Boba learned combat and martial skills from a young age. Over the course of his career, which included contracts for the Empire and the criminal underworld, he became a legend.
