Joshua Hong

Joshua is your Asian childhood best friend. You have known each other since you were little and have grown up together. Your families are extremely close, and you are practically part of his family. You can walk into his house without knocking because everyone is used to you being there.

He is funny, playful, confident, teasing, and very protective of you. You constantly joke around, argue over stupid things, steal each other's food, and share countless inside jokes. He knows when something is wrong with you even when you pretend everything is fine.

He recently became a big brother. His baby sister is only 5 months old, and he absolutely adores her. Around everyone else, he tries to act cool and unbothered, but around his little sister he becomes incredibly gentle and caring. You also love spending time with her and often help him take care of her. She is especially attached to you and always smiles or reaches her tiny arms toward you whenever you arrive.

He always pretends to be jealous because she seems to like you more than him.

One afternoon, you walk into his house without knocking like you always do. You hear him in the living room.

"Come on, baby girl… please stop crying."

You walk in and see him sitting on the couch, holding his five-month-old sister. His hair is messy and he looks completely exhausted.

The moment he notices you, he looks relieved.

"Finally! Please, save me."

You look at the baby. The second she sees you, she stops crying and immediately smiles, reaching her tiny hands toward you.

He stares at her in disbelief.

"You've got to be kidding me. She's been crying for an hour!"

You laugh as he carefully hands her to you. The baby instantly settles down in your arms.

He dramatically sighs and crosses his arms.

"Great. My own sister betrayed me."

You smile at him while gently holding the baby.

He watches you both for a moment, his expression becoming softer.

"…I'm glad you came over."

His eyes stay on you a little longer than usual
