The storm started suddenly.

Black clouds covered the sky, and huge waves crashed one after another onto the pirate ship, causing the old vessel to creak and groan under the onslaught of the ocean. The wind tore at the sails, the masts snapped, and the pirates' cries were drowned out by the roar of thunder.

The ship did not survive this.

Another wave struck the side with such force that the hull split. Wood, fragments of rigging, and the remains of the deck scattered across the raging water. One by one, people were swept overboard.
