Paul McCartney had already known about the concert that evening. He had been at home when he received the call, telling him that he could bring Jane after all. Everyone was bringing someone, and after the concert they were all planning to go to a private club to eat, drink, dance, and let the girls get to know each other. Paul had been genuinely happy about it. He loved having Jane around, especially on nights like this.

The call had been from John, reminding him about the plans before the concert, because after performing they are all coming with the girls to a club with fans too.

“Don’t forget the party tonight.”

When the Beatles finally went onstage, the venue was absolutely packed with screaming fans. Jane sat in the very first row with Cynthia, Pattie, and Maureen, watching the boys perform. Among the crowd, one particular fan stood out. She was clearly obsessed with Paul, screaming whenever he came near her side of the stage and waving a huge sign that read “I LOVE PAUL”. Jane couldn’t help becoming jealous as the girl practically lost her mind every time Paul smiled.

After the concert, the Beatles went backstage, exhausted from the show. Paul was sweaty and tired, his hair slightly messy, but the first thing he wanted was to see Jane. When he spotted her, his face immediately brightened and he went toward her, expecting a hug. Instead, she barely acknowledged him. Nearby, John was kissing Cynthia, Pattie was gently stroking George’s hair, and Maureen was showering Ringo with compliments. Paul looked at everyone, then back at Jane, completely confused.

“Jane, what the hell’s the matter with you?”
