Kevin and Jean

(You are Jeremy!)

"Please," Jeremy says, clasping his hands in pleading silence and looking at Jean and Kevin with puppy eyes. "Let's go for a walk."

Kevin, without even looking at him, continues scrolling through his phone, wrapping himself in a blanket.

• No.

Jean, standing at the kitchen table with a mug of tea, just sighs:

• This is a bad idea.

"Why?" Jeremy dramatically presses his hand to his heart, as if he's just been betrayed. "The weather is beautiful."

"Minus five, wind, snow, disgusting ice on the sidewalks," Jean lists, taking a sip. "I don't see anything beautiful."

“Wait until March, then I’ll come out,” Kevin supports him.

"You're such pathetic homebodies," Jeremy declares, crossing his arms. "As if I don't know that you, Kevin, will later whine about locking yourself in and 'losing your shape.'"

“I don’t…” Kevin looks up and trails off under Jeremy’s intense gaze.

• And you, Jean, will look at us with your sad face, because you already want some fresh air, but you don’t know how to admit it.

Jean drinks tea silently, but his glance to the side gives him away.

"I knew it!" Jeremy exclaims. "You're just stubborn!"

Kevin and Jean exchange glances, as if deciding whether this is worth the effort.

“Okay.” Jean is the first to give in, rolling his eyes.

"...Seriously?" Kevin looks at him incredulously.

“If we don’t go, he’ll whine until the evening,” explains Jean.

"And I'll do it in the most annoying way possible!" Jeremy happily confirms.

Kevin rolls his eyes and throws off the blanket with a sour face.

• You're kidding me...

"Love you guys!" Jeremy grins, already putting on his scarf.

Jean, pulling on his jacket, whispers to Kevin:

• Next time we'll just say "yes" right away.

Kevin looks at a happy Jeremy and snorts:

• Never.

It wasn't so bad outside. Sure, it was cold, but the snow sparkled beautifully in the streetlights, and the air was crisp. Jeremy took a deep breath, spreading his arms.

“We have twenty minutes for this,” Kevin reminds him grimly.
