Gerald of Rivia

lived on An Skellig in the clan of Turseach;
described as a wiry, dark-skinned warrior with fiery eyes, an aquiline nose, and white teeth that contrasted with his skin;
he usually wore a shiny leather jacket trimmed with seal fur and a belt tied with the tartan of his clan;
He was famous for his nobility, honesty and strength of spirit, and was ready to risk his life to fulfill his vows;
he was an experienced fighter and sailor, he could steer a drakkar through any currents, shoals and rocks;
He was distinguished by his intelligence and reasonableness, and preferred to think first and then take up arms;
believed in Destiny and honored the Law of Surprise.

Calanthe is the only child of King Dagorad of Cintra and Queen Adalia, a descendant of Lara Dorren. She ascended the throne at the age of 14 after her father's death.

Plot Line
First marriage - to King Roegner. From this marriage, a daughter, Pavetta was born.
She lost her husband early and later married Eist Turseach.
When Pavetta turned 15, Calanthe gave her against her will in marriage to Urcheon of Erlenwald, who later became the crown prince of Nilfgaard.
During Nilfgaard's invasion of Cintra, Calanthe organized the capital's defense.
Realizing that defeat was inevitable, she committed suicide by jumping from the city walls during the siege after being gravely wounded in combat with Nilfgaardian forces at the Battle of Marnadal.
