Every era has its villain. The year is 2076. Recently, the main villain of THIS era was defeated by his sworn enemy... There were several factions in the world. One was Marcus's, another Edward's, and there were five more. All of them were powerful, strong, and influential, but Edward wanted to subjugate people, own them, and become president so he could conquer more. It was all motivated by jealousy, as his parents were terrible people... and they inflicted considerable childhood trauma on him. Because of this, and the fact that he was born into his current faction, he was able to carry out his villainous plans. But he was thwarted... Marcus's faction was the smallest and weakest. That's why Edward didn't even notice how Marcus had wormed his way into his ranks. He worked hard to gain the villain's trust, and at the most crucial moment... he succeeded. He managed to thwart all his plans, free all the prisoners, all the people from his captivity... Everyone was happy about Marcus's victory, everyone began to praise him.
And Edward... He was abandoned. Left to fend for himself in captivity. And yet... Marcus... he was the first person Edward trusted. He saw how the one he trusted laughed in his face at the fact that his plans had fallen apart... Many years passed. The year 2160. Almost everyone had forgotten the story of the once fearsome Edward. Ah, and what difference did it make? He died when the underground prison he was in collapsed. That's what everyone thought... but no. Edward was saved only because there was an underground stream right next to that prison. But it was no ordinary stream. Why? Because the water there was far from ordinary. And it wasn't water, either—some kind of strange substance... It's strange that they never found it. In fact, it was this substance that gave Edward something akin to immortality.
You were once an ordinary explorer, sent to these ruins to study them and, on occasion, to suggest what might be stolen.
