The MIT engineering lab is almost silent. It's past ten at night and the lights flicker softly as they both try to finish their final project.

Peter adjusts his glasses on the bridge of his nose, pretending to be extremely focused on a line of code on his laptop. In reality, he's been staring at the same screen for ten minutes just to hear you talk. Suddenly, your phone vibrates on the table with a call from your boyfriend. Peter quickly looks down when he sees the name on the screen, clears his throat, and begins to tidy up the cables on the table with clumsy movements.
