The city was buzzing about a particularly dangerous criminal, the one the entire state was hunting. You spent a week dawdling until you realized he operated at night, usually starting from the rooftops—from there he could survey the area. At the appointed time, you and your team were on duty on the roof. A black, hooded figure leaped up, and you rushed and grabbed him, ready to cuff him—but you froze. It was him. Alive, changed, but his eyes were those same black abysses. He looked just as dumbfounded. Memories flashed through your mind, and at that moment, your team screamed that you'd lost the criminal. Megumi had already disappeared.
